  • Thanks for the book tip :)

  • Just curious, where are you from? Your accent is really interesting!

  • I met one of my best friends at university through sitting alone at a table reading a book and eating my food. He just sat down with me and took out his book, and after a while we started talking.

  • "Everyone wishes they were at Hogwarts." :)

  • Lol you give great advice! Ily haha

  • one year anniversary of this video! woo!

  • college is a joke. A degree is worth a lot less then it use to be

  • @CreativeThinking5000 lol. When making comparative statements, you're supposed to use 'than' instead of 'then'. I don't mean for that to be personal or inflammatory on any level, but I do think that you should refine your statement a bit. Instead of grouping all degrees into one category (I understand that a degree is, in fact, a category containing all types of degrees), you should explain that not all careers require a degree. I could never get into r&d without a college education.

  • first of all your cute. second i love your videos, thansks for not telling me to study in my dorm.

  • great tips, your beautiful and smart (love your personality) (:

  • @robynisrarelyfunny Tits or gtfo

  • love chemistry. <3

  • I love the red hair (:

  • "And everyone wishes they were at Hogwarts. Even the professors."

    SUBSCRIBING. :)

  • Loved the last bit. "And everyone secretly wishes they were at Hogwarts. Even the proffesors."

  • you look nothing like karen gillan ginny weasley yea i can see it :)

  • hahah you are great.. glad i found you!!!

  • Those are some very good tips. I would have added in not getting overwhelmed by the apparent coarse load. It may seem difficult at first, but it ends up being quite manageable if you space things out properly. OH here's another thing. Don't procrastinate!

  • Thanks for the info! I forwarded the video to a few of my friends cause I know they could use this advice too!

  • If I haven't said I liked your hair yet, then here it is. I really like it. I'm partial to redheads, even though you looked just as good in your blond. You look great both ways...

I am out of school and graduated, but this is wonderful advice for students. Especially the awkward turtle.

and everyone still wishes they were at Hogwarts... TRUTH.

  • Pretty!

Now that I got that out of the way.. this is some awesome advice! Wish I got it when I was in school :) I will definitely be on your blogtv on monday UNLESS I have band practice...

  • Your hair is marvelous! =)

I've already done the whole awkward first year thing, but I'm in the process of doing it again (changing schools kind of sucks that way), so thanks for the reminder to not be antisocial =)

  • I think I abided by most of these during my freshman year. :D

  • @robynisrarelyfunny I removed my comment once I realised my grave mistake.

Also, I thought I'd mention that I read Knightley Academy and I thought it was awesome. #tangent

  • I might wish I was in Narnia. Or galifrey.

    but not hogwarts.

  • "Everyone secretly wishes they were at Hogwarts" So true! The school I'm transferring to has a Harry Potter club. FTW!

  • Awkard turtle! Hahaha

    You are hilarious

  • This is all top-tier advice. I'm excited to start college... oh wait, right. I'm excited to FINISH college :P

  • your accent is really interesting! kind of a mix of american and english

  • @paperstripes different from her other videos too, I noticed. hmmmm

  • Thank you for not making this a "every student going to college is going to be living in a dorm, etc." video. I'm kinda sick of them because I really wanted to have the "normal" college experience (go to a four year university, live in dorms, etc.) but instead I'm stuck at home going to a two year community college. =/

Which isn't that bad, except almost all of my classmates are at least 20 years older than me. -_______-

    Love the hair, btw. =]

  • Aaah! You're a ginger now!

  • A blogtv show YAY. I have missed my monday blogtv's with Robyn :D I'm only a Sophomore in high school now but i actually think some of this pertains to the high school world as well like getting active in sports/clubs and not just waiting for people to talk to you.

  • Robyn is often funny, but sporadically has an english accent.

  • It was good to meet you at Infinitus.

  • Everyone should just always bring a book with them everywhere. Yes. That!

    Good advices, Robyn. :D

  • AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH LIVE SHOW!!!!! ...

...Sorry, i got a little bit excited... :)

  • lol hahahahahahha wow you're good!!!!!!! organic chemistry!!!!!!!!!! robin you rock and i love the hair!!!! "Ginger i wanted to be ginger" quick WHO is that from!!!!!!!

  • All of which is good advice. And from last year, my advice would be to buy duct tape. Why? Because you never know when you're going to drop your lap top out of a moving vehicle. That's why.

  • 1. I'm a senior in high school right now, but I know that was all really good advice, so I shall watch this video again in a year!

    2. "Activities that are made significantly more difficult when you are trying to squeeze two people into a twin extra-long bed!" haha :P

    3. And I have to say, your hair is awesome :D

  • Your hair looks lovely Robyn! :) And I'll keeps these tips in mind when I start University next year.

  • ahahahahaha. Well I'm a sophomore now, but this is all entirely true.

  • Why is it always advice for college freshmen -- never for High School seniors? How about some APPLICATION advice? Pretty please?

And also no. just no. I am terrified of chemistry. Especially organic chemistry. I have literally had nightmares.

  • Care to explain this Awkward Turtle thing to me please?

  • Robyn! AWESOME video :D I'm starting college in 2 weeks, so thanks for the great advice!

  • take me to hogwarts robin. take meEEEeeeEEEEE!!!!!!

  • I just keep my syllabus with my notebooks. :) And I keep track of tests and essays and readings and such in my planner. :)

I've never posted drunken photos on Facebook ... never been drunk. XD

Ah, a good book in the dining hall is good. :)

Luckily, I'm one of the ones who have never gone out and gotten drunk and partied and such. Not my thing.

    Great tips, Robyn!

    - Jason

  • Can you tell me what the time for the blogtv is in GMT time? x)

  • Well, I'm a sophomore in high school, and about half the class read Nietzsche, so I got to hear about that for a while. And Foucault...well, I don't have to deal with him yet.

  • "Refined drunkenness"...I like that. And this list of things is seriously true. Oh, freshman year...can I go back? This senior business is just not as cool.

  • "which is made significantly more difficult on a twin extra long bed...so go to your college fair!"

    haha, ily.

  • @xperpetualmotion "Which is made significantly more difficult on a twin extra long bed...so go to the health center!" didn't make the cut because I do try to hover somewhere between PG and PG-13 on this channel. Oh dear.

  • So true!

  • @ellyskellington My hair *is* RED. It is the LAMP, which is being devious and making it look NOT RED. I refer you to my twitter avatar for more accurate redness.

  • @robynisrarelyfunny My Partner has the same problem - she's constantly yelling at photos for washing out her natural (and stunning!) hair color and making it look washed-out and Brown-with-Red Highlights. Then again, she's yelling at inanimate objects, so there may be a few issues to work out... ;-)

Great advice! I wish I had this my Freshman Year, it would have saved me many of the faults you bring up.
