So stop and this song won't be depressive any more.
I know you don't know me and I don't know if you meant what you said(if you're not really on heroin, all the better), but to be honest the miracle I've been waiting for is for people to stop being so careless towards themselves and others, as if they were apart from everything.
I just wish we could all be happy, and this includes you my friend.
Thank God Leonard is recovering from his collapse in Valencia Spain during his concert. Happy Birthday Sept. 21 Leonard, you are so dear to me. If anybody knows where to find the video that's supposedly been posted on YT of that concert, please send it to me!
Actually, this song was in the movie. Anyone who says otherwise must not have seen the movie. Leonard Cohen's songs from his album "The Future" I think were actually perfect for this movie's mood. They will be always indelibly linked with the American Southwest in my mind.
Yes, you're right. But Stone re-wrote the screenplay to such an extent that Tarantino publicly disowned it, so I personally would still call it an Oliver Stone film. It's true that Tarantino did write the "original" story though.
so did this happen a few years before NBK actually got made(this meaning Stone messing with the screenplay), since True Romance came out a good 18 months before NBK came out.
Tarantino wrote the script that became 'natural born killers' (true romance was an entirly differnt script, that became the film 'true romance') he wrote it as a slight against the media, but was anoyed that Stone turned it into a film that was of from the POV of Mickey and Mallory.
this is so cool, bro. some folk are "afraid " of artistic creativity. this is not an illusion. i believe . may you find peace every day of your life. LuC
Everybody is open to an interpretation of music, but my opinion is that the association of this song to this movie is dumb. Ravenous desecration and destruction of life does not equal the realization that one gets by waiting the often futile wait for a loved one to return.
Ever heard of the Chelsea Hotel? Leonard and Janis Joplin had an affair there. I like to joke that I'm the result of that union. They are two of my very favorites.
you know waht the movie used a piece of music for a documentary my dad made in the early 90s, which triggered the Tian An Men square event. but the soundtrack didn't acknowledge it!! they almost stole the copyright.
Perfect song.

Didn't tarantino write more of a "Bonnie and Clyde" story, and Stone changed into his media falling in love with killers thing.

The original Story from Tarantino was later more or less realisated in the movie "true romance"
