La música y movimientos básicos son similares a las Jotas que se bailan en España. Solo que en las Filipinas la bailan mucho mas lento y con palillos en vez de castañuelas. Muy lindo :-)
Can anyone give me any advice on how to dance this nicely? We're supposed to dance this for a competition and I'm just asking how to make seem nicer or some tips to show emphasis...or such.
@chesykin97 kunting advise ang how to dance folk dance nicely kailangan ches out ka palagi saka ung chin medio mataas di naman gano ha, at ung sway mo dpat itwist mo ang body mo, para graceful tignan, at ang knees dpat binebend para malambot tignan. dati akong nag aral ng folk dance sa kaloob music and dance. kaya medio me alam ako kunti.
we danced this when we were still in 1st year hs. haha.. And i remember my teacher teelling me to stop dancing it flamengco. lmfao.. and My patner was my crush.. haha OMG
I enjoyed watching this authentic folk dance. It's been a long time since I've seen one. I used to dance this 40 years ago in high school and I could still remember the steps. Ha I feel young again after watching this.
Keep it up and please, stay authentic. Don't modernize it. The costumes is good too.

i think my female partner and the other three girls when we danced this was never taught to kick off there skirt and even give emphasis to it
