  • Sorry, but your leaving about 95% of the experience on the table. Baiting reduces hunting to just shooting. Tracking, stillhunting, calling, stand hunting a natural funnel and even some drives require planning, skill, woodsmanship, orienteering, and primal ability that puts these activities up in the 'major league' of hunting. Baiting is 'the pee-wee' league. Mature bucks deserve mature hunters.

  • I think it has a lot to do with how you were raised...for many of us out here in B.C. where half of what is applied in Saskatchewan and Ontario not to mention elsewhere "is illegal" in B.C...so it is just not something we are used to...it was taught to us not to use treble hooks and to use barbless and no live bait etc...so baiting almost feels like cheating a bit LOL

    I can understand both sides, but I would agree with you. A great reason is it gives you the opportunity for a better, safer shot
