  • can i fit extended atx in that case?

  • Comment removed

  • at times he sounds like the shamwow guy... LOL

  • As a point of advice, the anti-vibration pads for the hard drive trays may cause the drives to overheat as they block any ambient air from getting to the main boards of the drives. This is a huge problem for faster drives that create more heat. It has been known to cause premature failures in many cases.

  • Meh.. why put a LED fan in it?! Makes it look like a cheap case...

  • Overally it's very good case, although if I were to buy a new case I would pick LIAN LI PC-8FIB which is newer version of this case with USB 3.0 ports, 2 intake fans, more slots for your HDDs and with far more better room for cable management. And it costs almost the same.

  • As for the cons - as you can see the interior is not in black color which is bit of a downside specially if you got verison with side window. Another downside is lack of USB 3.0 port at the fornt panel but on the other hand this case has been longer on market than USB 3.0.

The major downside is cable management. At the best circumstances we can speak of it as "limited". It does offer only one(!) hole in MB tray and I found it very difficult to lead some cable behind the MB tray.

  • I got this case without the side window and I gotta say it an excellent case. There were some pros and cons that OP didn't mention thou. First of all this case fits all CPU coolers you can think of. Even Noctua NH-D14 ain't an issue. Secondly hard-drive bay is removable although I would't suggest it as it helps to keep the whole construction even more solid (thus you will end up with less vibrations). Besides hard-drive cages are brilliant (remove the unnecessary ones for better airflow).

  • Good video :)

  • will if fit gtx 570 without removing hard drive cage?

  • please talk more about cable-management.

  • will these items fit? CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3

    Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6850

    RAM: Corsair Vengence Blu 1600Mhz DDR3 (8GB)

Power Supply: OCZ 500watt ModXStream Pro

    Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc

Hard Drive: Seagate 1 TB 7200RPM

  • Does it have good air flow?

  • does 6970 fits inside?

i ask this cause it has 27.8 cm

max gpu lenght in this case is 29 cm.

  • @maverick7376 Then it does fit in ..

  • @basejump8 im really not sure, i will try it out :D

  • @maverick7376 Seriously, its gonna fit .. you still have 1.2 cm left ;)

  • @basejump8 ok thx

  • @maverick7376 the paperwork says max gpu length is 29 ... i got a zotac 260 which says gpu length is 29.2 ... it fits with room to spare

  • @renrutxela Thanks for the info

  • Question: would this case fit a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3-B3 board with a GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II, 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance memory (with heatsinks) and an i5 2500k cooled by a Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B? And would the parts get in each-others way on that motherboard?

    Thanks in advance.

  • can i water cool a cpu and gtx 580 in this case

  • @TheAmazingJayden of course

  • nice review, i've been looking at this case for a while.

  • Gonna use the Lian Li PC-60FNWX for my girl friends build. I have the Lian Li PC-A77B, love it!

  • Please can you tell me me if there's enough room for a Noctua NH-D14 (NOT C-14) to fit? Thanks.

  • What PSU should I get for this? What size? I can't seem to find any specifications..

  • @alfie9697 any should fit lol

  • how much does this cost, cause i found it for £8

  • isn't that the a tower that is similar to the Origin Genesis one?

  • does it fit a ati 5770? cause it seems like it would

  • @BBarthel70 yes, 5770 is very short!

  • does fit the ati 6950?? send me a message plz..

  • @26Macdylan a 5970 doesn't fit so a 6950 would be worse, unfortunately with top of the range graphics cards they increase in size by hell loads!

  • @KieransWorld The 6950 is shorter then the 5970.

  • Only 2 case fans? o.O I have on my Antec 300 5 case fans?

  • @Rapagangsta all these people with their thousands of high rpm fans make me sick... i have a phenom 2x4, a gtx 460, hdd, gigabyte ga 770 ta ud3 and only 2 (in letters: two) case fans with very low rpm (front one is running with 500, the other all the time with 800) and my core temps in idle are about 35°C and under load (prime95 - 2 hours) 58° (my cpu cooler is an EKL Großclockner - 40€ when i bought it)

  • Its great that it has so many anti-vibration elements, but it doesn't seem like it would offer enough airflow. 140mm front mount intake fan and 120 rear exhaust fan? They should have at least given you the option to install a side and top fan.

  • @1465225568 u realy dont need more than 2 fans until u run a gtx 470, 480, 580 , hd 5970, 6990 or something like that... lian li is all about simplicity and not airflow... if u need airflow buy a HAF X ...

  • @sokrutu I suppose this setup would offer enough airflow for some systems, but I'm currently running 2x Sapphire 6850 toxic in crossfire as well as an overclocked i7-950.

  • Dude honestly from the look of your videos, it looks/sounds like you're just taking an already recorded review, removing the audio, and then adding your own commentary over it.

  • @dethtilldeath but he's not...

  • lian li is OVERPRICED

  • Can the LED be turned off?

  • @mihapiha1 no

  • No sir.

  • aluminun

  • Will a Zalman 9700 fit in this case? Also a Full ATX motherboard?

    thanks

  • wow 1200 watt thats great xD

  • That awesome window is just about pointless without LED lights to illuminate the parts D:

  • looptroop2k8 are you sure 100pc that a radeon hd5870 fits in that box?because i'm ready to buy it.....

  • does anyoneknow taht CPU coolers name??

  • @Wesslig

    maybe its the Scythe Shuriken

  • does anyone know what CPU cooler this is??

  • Hi can i fit a gtx 460 made by palit ?

  • @allisterw9 Yes, it does fit.

  • can a gtx-460 made by palit fit inside ?

  • @allisterw9

yes, it fits. i have it!

  • Does anyone know how good air cooling would be for this? If i was overclocking that is. I have a simple C2D oc'd @ 3.6. I have the cnps 10x extreme cooler. Will my temps be fine with this case?

  • wow 1200 watts

  • comcast is so gay this video freezes and doesnt continue just like every other video on youtube if anyone is concidering comcast for god sake dont do it its fucking gay

  • you guys should checkout 3dgameman

  • "And the motherboard tray is not removable"

  • wish there were some top fans

  • @RTechstudio

Lian Li do some optional top covers :)

  • the lancool k62 is cheaper better looking and cheaper :)

  • @bambihumper Cheaper for a reason. :)

  • Why is anti vibration such a big thing?

  • @lillen300 noise

  • @tech2kn0w ok xD because it has always seem to me that vibrations are not "good vibrations" and noise is one thing that i dislike, and heat.

Is the most comon way to disperse heat - and + air circulating the most common?

  • @lillen300 Well most PC users and even gamers use air to cool there cases. Even me. But people with money or true hardcore gamers or some people who want to break a record go water cooling. To me noise is not a big issue because I don't think anything in the case makes vibrations other than the fans and you can always remove those and I use headphones so I can't hear anything.

  • I really like Lian Li cases my only criticism of this case and recent Lian Li cases is the side panel which aren't all that easy to remove and put back, I noticed you had the same problem when you tried to remove the side panel that it got stuck on it's hinge. I hope Lian Li have addressed this issue on it's next range of cases.

  • does a 5870 fit in there?

  • same as lancool k62 :)

  • unfortuently a few downsides, no vent below PSU to take in cold air, also would of liked to see a side fan

  • exaust fan replaceabale?

  • 1200W! why???? nc... btw nice case :)

  • @sftomee Just because he can:)

  • @wildreams oh. ok. but no sense. :)

  • would a 5830 fit?

  • How is the new X version of this case?

  • @spearmintmonkey This is the one : Lian Li PC-7FNWX

  • It may sound stupid as I listened to what you said but can I just confirm the front bezel is aluminium? Thanks

  • still cant believe that this only has 2 fans...how does this fair with a case like haf 922??i really like how this case looks..very simple..but am really worried that the air intake wouldnt be enough to supply my gpu and cpu

  • @jaja1818 Trust me, 2 fans are more than enough. Unless you are doing heavy over clocking, but should not make much difference either.

  • i would suggest the cm storm scout cos it looks sexy and it isnt that expensive

  • can anyone answer this for me? i recently bought a Intel DP55WB ATX motherboard and i am wondering if it can fit in this case or if it cant could anyone suggest a PC case?

  • Lancool's PC-k62 is pretty good. Although it's metal instead of aluminum.

  • Can ATI HD 5870 fit in Lian Li PC-7FW - Mid Tower Case?

  • Yes it certainly can....i have the exact same Case, just without the side indow sadly, i thnik its PC-7FN (i just am too lazy to look on the back right now), but it surely can..its a marvellous case...

  • can i fit an ati 5870?

  • how much is this case?

  • Too stupid to Google anything, buckyai?

  • what kind of PSU is that?!

  • thats some nice harddrive cages

  • Does a 5970 fits there?

  • @melenios7 no it does not.

  • @PCWizKid how about the 5870 ?

  • @PCWizKid What about the Nvidia 480 ?

  • @PCWizKid Does it fit the ATi Radeon 5770?

  • @xFoKe

Yes, the 5770 is a very small card

  • @PCWizKid does a 470GTX fits dr? plsss reply asap im planing to buy this case today

  • @kintatzu333 Yes, it does.

  • Comment removed

  • @melenios7

Yes it does, don't listen to him.

  • Why do cases always have 1 thing that makes it NOT the ideal case ? ie black interior. I'd have the CM690 2 but that has no window or the Lancool k62 if it werent for all the plastic and steel construction. So hard to find the ideal case...

  • lian li > other cases :p

    nice review :)

  • DAMN!! Am I the only one who is drooling over the PSU paint job? Actually thinking of painting my TX850W now, would fit the style of the HAF 932

  • LOL I hope that was a troll comment!!

  • Is there a switch for the fan or some sort of option to turn the LEDs off?

  • Are you able to swap out the front 140mm fan?

  • @simonfromthenyc, yes, for another fan of the same size.

  • @simonfromthenyc

I own a PC60-FW, which is basically the same case with a slightly different front panel, and I have to report that in fact no, the front fan is not removable, except if you consider popping out rivets as a routine operation. That's the main flaw of this case IMO.

  • @aspexpl sure you are...

  • @abodyroks1 Ofcourse you can

  • Yes, it will play Crysis, on high settings. Buy it now.. while the price is good. Just make sure you buy the $2000.00 worth of components to go inside of it also.

  • That video card looks pretty flexed. :( But I've had mine do that as well. Why?

  • It' s pretty simple to explain.

Also if not a canalized air flow, it takes intake from front side and exaust from the upper because the upper part got hotter.

It give an internal circulation to transport lower air to the upper side.

If you put fans on the same level, gives no ventilation to the other parts of case.

  • i understand the theory, but what i don't understand is how the airflow would go about when a big video card is blocking the way, that and a bunch of harddrives and couple of pci cards. wouldn't it be more effective if there are two cooling compartment instead of one? and yes i know heat rises, but it's not being dispensed properly when there are obstacles blowing the airflow.

  • i'm confused by the airflow, how can the airflow go from the front bottom to the top back. it doesn't make any sense. and it's not just this case, alot of cases are advertising this method of airflow.

  • hot air rises, so cold air comes in from the bottom and gets sucked out from the top.... simple

  • Why don't you understand? Heat rises, its that simple.

  • good job ur 1 month too late.

  • Geting this case next month and will be my 3rd lian li case I can't go any other way. I'm lian li for life. Btw great review 5/5

  • good review

  • that thing is pretty

  • Have the same case, for about a year now. Looks good, discrete and edgy at the same time, keeps temps really low, and really silent. I would recommend it, though I would prefer it in silver. Mine doesn't have a window, but why show off? For what it offers it is DEAD cheap!

  • very good case

  • i have this case and i like it. i just have one issue with "mine" not the case in general, but my one, it doesn't have a window on the side. which is a pitty but i guess it isnt really important but it would be nice if it had a window on the side

  • im comparing this to the lancool K-62

as far as i can tell the difference is the cooling and the alu outside, the K-62 has more fans the lian li has less but a better alu outside (steel inside)

cant decide what case to buy to replace my NZXT Tempest

  • I have HAF 922 and I am more then satisfied !! Great case !!

  • 7f"N" out now... Whats the difference ??

  • For remove the front fan I must remove the block of Hard Drive and the screws are below the case.

The motherboard tray is not removable.

The block of Hard Drive is designer for sata HD.

With pata (or Eide) HD the rounded cable have not many space.

  • im being nit-picky but that cd door must be removed entirely ,that messes up the clean look of it ,wouldn't it?

wish it just had a spring that closed it back again.

  • Can anyone give me recommendation? Which will you choose if you have a choice between this and Cooler Master Storm Sniper?

  • @HKSTechVideos , get the Storm if you need more space.

  • @PCWizKid will the HD5870 2 in CF fit in that case? Thank you :)

  • @PCWizKid. hey much of a difference is the cooling between the storn sniper and this? is the cooling twice as much better? and are they both equally quiet or is one quieter than the other?

  • @Emocrest..You just replied to me??

  • hey

  • @PCWizKid hey sorry I went to your website and saw what most midtower case will fit in with the 5870 and I saw this case will work for it. Thanks

  • @PCWizKid erm.. do they without the extra side fan would keep the cpu and the gpu temp nice and cool? i planned to get SLI so i thought is this case able to cool it down?

  • I have this case and i´m very pleased with it!

  • Cable management in this case is pretty average as it is, imagine trying to put water cooling in there, you'de only have space to add a 360RAD on the back, and then with more tubing inside the case its gonna look like a nightmare.

and the window is only going to show that off even more ;-(

  • but this is just a mid tower..

  • I'm defiantly going to get this case for my rig! It's beautiful! It was given a 9.5/10 score on another site!

  • thanks for the review, helped a lot!

    Regards

  • no offence but your voice reminds me of the guy on the sham wow commerical

    lol

  • lol

he does have a weird funny voice, and he says "ok?" a lot

  • therse a hundred beter cases 4 this kinda money!

  • No, there really isn't. Aluminum, filters, anti-vibration features, noise-reducing features, etc. Of course you could think some LED filled noisy beast is a 'better' case, but when it comes to quality, Lian Li is it.

  • Wtf? Are you disabled?

This case is incredible for the price!

  • Wow thanks for the review. I can see this case is full of great quality. This has really changed my decision on which case to get. Thanks again.

  • Exacly =D

  • I've been having some terrible heat issues, i know it's the slim case design. Do you have a old case, or one you don't use that you can sell to me?

  • awsom pc

  • Hello wizkid!

  • 1200 watts... akasa power extream? xD

  • wow! that's a really nice tower! can you spare me one of those? lol XD

  • can it fit a single gtx295 (length)?

or maybe two cards in sli or crossfire?

  • @MegapixelSix , I know it fits a GTX260 fine in crossfire.

  • ok thanks.

  • i think you meant Sli instead of crossfire. nvidia... sli.... ati.... etc... :D

  • don't you mean SLI

  • Nice review, i may consider buying this case for my new rig planning to build. are the dust filters wash-able?

  • nice

  • very cool
