@kenjackson1977 Oooh Joel Olsteen his big huge diamond ring he wears and your maybe natural gas heat and your car that is powered by oil why would you christians care anyhow since you think the end of the world is coming soon your god we rebuild the world for you so why would you care?
@kenjackson1977 Hey drinking methane i think the video's you have seen are bullshit there well is in a coal seam or old mine shaft. you can not crack shale to the near surface with fracking there is too much force applying downward in the well with overlying strata.
Natural gas companies are looking at NC resources big time. Rumor has it 62+ landowners in one county have already signed lease agreements with gas companies and research is still in progress. I am afraid that a lot of people are very uneducated about the potential risks drilling has on the environment and are being taken advantage of. Does anyone out there have any information they could share to enlighten the people of NC on this subject before it's too late?
The bleach and draino crap you put down your own drain into "potable" water sources is worse than the chemicals we use. Also, think about it, we are putting more material down into the earth than was originally there so aren't we actually making it more supportive of the earth above it (unlike mining for salt, the great amounts of different metallic ores, and oh yea, coal)?
@esmith4251984 Oh yeah the methane is the water wells is coming from a coal seam or old mine shaft these people are trying t get a new water well when there well was already bad and they don't won't to pay for it and they are blaming the gas well drilling companies for it.
Have You ever heard anything about "Cheney Loophole"? ("Bush/Cheney Loophole" or "Halliburton Loophole"?)

IF YOU HARM, THE NATURAL LAWS OF NATURE, HARM WILL COME TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES HEALTH. PLEASE STOP HARMING. THANKS . PLEASE STOP THE COMPANIES DESTROY THE CLEAN WATERS OF THE WORLD ALSO .
@DamianDoubled YOU ARE IGNORANT THERE IS NO WAY HYDRAULIC FRACTURING CAN FRATURE THE STRATA FROM 6000 FEET DEEP TO THE DRINKING WATER SUPPLY OF A WATER WELL IF YOU COULD PUMP THAT MUCH PRESSURE IN A WELL TO DO THAT THE DRILLING RIG WOULD TOPPLE OVER.
I live in SW Penn. I watched Dunkard Creek turn into a salty wasteland that ended up killing over 20,000 fish. Now, the Monongaheala river has so much TDS in it that the ports for the cooling nozzles at the steel plants, which use water from the Monongaheala in Clairton, PA, are clogging with salt. That is right, Salt from Freshwater rivers is clogging cooling intakes at steel plants. This didn't happen before the Gas industry started drilling and dumping. But its coincidence, right? NOT!
And, nearby water facilities that cannot properly filter the water are coming down with toxic algae explosions leaving treated water non-potable. Whole areas are under water boil advisories. If the people from the Upper Deleware Basin are smart, they will not allow this. Just type "Dunkard Creek Fish Kill" into the search bar above, you will see what happens when the fracking industry gets a hold on your area. Remember, your water is unfiltered too. Don't let it happen!!!!

Out of my 5 years in the oilfield.. I have NEVER seen roads look like that. Someone has too much time on their hands.. Why don't you bitch about the state building a highway or something?
We must work to protect our beautiful landscape as well as the pristine state of our water, both of which are being threatened by natural gas drilling.
@CleanWaterActionPA find out why your government is pumping phosgene gas into the ground ........wait wait ...first find out what phosgene gas is .........and who is john wheeler and why is he dead ?you should look to your diamond shaped neighbor to the north .........D.C........ask them where is your clean water and air
I pray this does not happen to the Upper Delaware Watershed. Haven't we all learned enough right now? I wonder if the guy who calls us "earth fairies" would like to drink water polluted with 500+ chemicals that explodes when you take a match to it? Perhaps he's not thinking about the vegetables, grains, meat and fish that are exposed to the chemicals used in this process. Keep up the good work.
@sherryk30 methane gas is a natural gas and it would be there regardless and that is what he is lighting on fire .........and again methane is natural gas ........NATURAL = not man made ......USED IN A SENTENCE = wow i have NATURAL GAS (methane gas) in my water well that is on top of one of the largest NATURAL GAS reserves in the world.
@jmecrg Before fracking for the natural gas, the man had drinkable water that did not catch on fire. Would YOU want to drink it? Well guess what - - it the powers that be keep this up, YOU WILL be drinking water like that. The planet will die. I assume that you are employed by the gas industry, so keep on doing your job and when you're dying from cancers associated with the fracking process or from dehydration, you can give yourself a hand.
@sherryk30 you know this man and you tested his water before and after? ......yes i do work in the industry.....and i live in east tx have lived here all my life rite in the middle of the "oilfield" ......we are not dying of cancer......i have also heard many people contaminated their own water suply for money.......if your worried about the health of the earth .....search "chemtrails" and ask the goverment why they control the fuel supply for comercial jets and why they put bezene it the fuel ?
@sherryk30 i saw a video on yt .... the lady was mad b/c her well was "contaminated" she stated it had detergents in it .........i asked was this private well tested before any "fracing" had been done ..she said no....i asked her where the waste water from the house went..... "in my septic tank and then to my field line" she said .how far from your well ? "200`" she said ....how long u lived here ? "20 yrs" she said ....i asked do you wash clothes there,,," 3 time a week at least " ... well ..
@jmecrg , you mean like "natural arsenic" or "natural cadmium" or "natural radium", or "natural mercury" ? I guess that is what you mean by "natural". I forgot the "natural uranium". If that "natural" gas was not there before, and it IS there now, then what else traveled up into the aquifer with that methane? Do we even have a clue? Obviously you don't care to know.
@mtnprivy you have all this in your water? why dont you search "chemtrails" and where they come from and wile your at it search what "phosgene gas" is and why our government is pumping it into the ground and why they brought it back from Iraq. and then find out who John Wheeler is and why he is dead.......ps if you have uranium in your water ask your local government where they dumped their nuclear waste from the clean nuclear plant...?
Burning coal also contributes to water pollution. A 2007 study suggests that emissions from coal-fired power plants may be an important source of water pollution and fish contamination in parts of Pennsylvania. Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh found high levels of mercury and selenium in catfish caught in a rural area downwind from a coal-fired power plant north of Pittsburgh. Both mercury and selenium are released when coal is burned.
@mtnprivy The U.S. Geological Survey reports that 200 years of coal mining has resulted in 2,390 stream miles in the Allegheny and Monongahela River Basin (located within the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia) that have been affected by acid mine drainage to the point of not being able to support fish communities.
demand that politicians stop looking the other way, hold them accountable also for looking the other way letting the big corporations getting away? with LONG TERM slow murder of peoples health, when they know dam well it IS causing health problems!
To all the people that let dollar signs blind them into doing this I say bo hoo for you. You cant cry if you were the one that delibritly spilled the milk. If my property loses value or my water gets contaminated I will sue YOU not the gas company
So why don't you little earth fairies put up a windfarm and turn all those roads into biketrails, a win-win for the queers! it would look about as bad and it would have the same miserable results as everything else you fruits do, and don't forget to put air in your tires little obamabots.
These folks fight the windfarms when they come to town. There is no logic to their rampage. They heat their homes, they drive their cars and they have paved the island of manhattan yet they still think they know more about nature and the land than the farmers who have cared for the land for generations. The conclusion is clear. the only solution is for all of mankind to drink a big glass of kool aid. Till then the earth will not be safe.
And that's only the surface! What happens below ground is worse. That nice river would be polluted, poisoned, and bereft of plant & animal life. The trees near the wells would sicken and die. I live in Wayne County, PA and know that the environmental impact of this drilling was brought to the public's attention. Greed, unfortunately, motivated many to lease out their property. Now we're hearing about contaminated water and property destruction.
This is what the region would look like with gas drilling development roads and so forth. You first see the region as it now is - you then se it with drilling development - and at the end you see the region as it now is - and shall remain for generations to come!
It will end up looking like the Poconos. What used to be pristine forest is now shopping centers and developments. What about contamination of the Delaware? How many miles above Philadelphia is this site?
Every picture tells a story ... this is a good visual of what will happen .. .just look at where the natural gas drillers have been ... out west .. it's all there to see .. the future for us. Thanks for making this. Eileen from Honesdale, PA
