It's cause of silly skits like this that it took so long for a company like Tesla to see the light of day... funny, but terribly sad, all at the same time. The engine turning on an electric motor? It showed they knew and understood nothing. But they did get the 4000 cells right...

@LuMagazine -----No, Lu, if a comedy skit can prevent the marketing of a product, it simply ain't a good product. electric cars were offered in the Sears Robuck catalog back before 1920. They were unreliable and impractical 100 years ago, and they're just not ginormously better now. Sorry, but, that's reality. Gimme the Dodge Contractor pickup truck, and I'll go hybrid, but, not likely until then.

Funny as it is,

if it is an electric car, it wouldn't have a starter, if it is running, it is running!

If the batteries were ALL in series, and one was bad, then you would not hear an electric motor (starter) running!
