as I wrote earlier, it was Johnny who contact US. He's a fan of the magazine and has always wanted to be in it, so no one is exploiting him. If you read the interview, you'd see that he credits weed for helping him quit heroin and alcohol. Besides, most of our readers are young adults so I don't see how exposing them to him is a bad thing.

Pot is a dangerous Drug. It does hurt young and old, alike and should never be promoted or glorified in any way. Pot is a gateway drug, leading to everything else ahead of it. Pot kills. Maybe not directly, but if you take a look at auto fatalities in this country, pot Kills! Inside the stoner's car: burned seats - crap all over the floor - everthing in disrepair. That tells me quite a bit about the pot smoker.

and the reason people in auto accidents test positive for pot is because it stays in your system for a month or longer. a person can be totally sober and test positive for pot. plus there were studies done in england where subjects actually performed better in driving tests while high on wed than sober. but even if I agree that people shouldnt drive stoned, that doesnt justify its overall illegality.

pot is about as dangerous as caffeine, and does far more good than harm.

You are so right, I do have a judgemental attitude when it come to drugs, including POT. I was a night club Musician for 25 years and I guess I got my fill of Dope and booze, watching my buddies die around me or having strokes or heart attacks from using coke or speeders to keep them going. I guess it left me with some pretty hard feelings. I don't discredit Johhny Winter in any way for what he believes, He is a great performer!

sorry to hear about you buddies dude, but nobody ever died from pot. I dont do heroin or speed, and HT doesnt promote using them. but marijuana is a plant that grows form the earth and is about as beneficial as any herb can be. its time people started understanding the distinction so we can put the propaganda of the past behind us and move forward with real reforms.

Has Johnny ever thought of another way of treating his Glaucoma? The use of Marijuana only has a 25% reduction in the intraocular preasure of the eye and only lasts for about 3 1/2 hours, not to mention the damage to the lungs, where as, the other medications now prescribed for his condition are much more effective with little side effects. Johnny should visit his doctor.
