  • Cool stuff man...thx for sharing!

  • hi there brow, tons of cool gear and sure, guitar playing. let me ask you dow, how loud your vibroverb RI speaks? i never had an amp like this, do you fill fine giggin in a loud gig with this amp? go clean till what volume? all my best, morello

  • sorry but I have a question... can you use your strat without the roland system? I mean do you HaVE to plug your mono jack AND the 13 pin cable to do it works? thanks!

  • I can use the Strat without the VG just like regular guitar but you have to use the 13 pin with the VG for the guitar modelling, tunings etc.Or you can use the VG without the modelling-just the effects, like a processor, without the 13 pin.

  • thanks for the tip! good luck!

  • Great sound and feel. Would you share this preset of yours? Thanks . Cheers. DD

  • I think I tuned the strings up a fifth with low E and A tuned down an octave.

  • MAIDEN!!!!

  • Enjoyed this very much, thank you. I thought I heard some Eric Johnson in there? I have a VG-88 but never put electric to it.

  • trippy progressions. I like it

  • Did you replace the neck on your roland-ready strat with a strat plus neck?

  • I bought the body without the neck, second-hand, and put on a Strat neck I had with the roller nut on it, I dont know the model really.

  • Nice. So how would you define your playing style?

  • Hey does that ENGL sound anything like the ENGL Classic 50?

  • There is a vid of this ENGL with a Gibson Firebird on my page, with the clean sound, check it out, I haven't played thru the Classic 50.

  • I own a Classic 50. They have the most amazing clean sound I have ever heard. The overdrive isn't as great, but I play a tubescreamer through the clean channel for the OD. Good amp... best combo amp I've played.

  • Sounds the same as mine.Incredible clean sound but distortion channel is not very hot.Mine is dicontinued, but maybe yours is the newer version of the same?

  • Yeah thats what I was thinking because yours doesnt seem to be mentioned on the site. How old is your amp? I'd do a video with mine, but when I crank to where it sounds great the mic can't take it like it could with my old transistor amp. I'll try and get someone to record my next gig.

  • Yea,I know the problem.Mine must be 1995 or 96.

  • Wow, well I got mine secound hand a few weeks ago and it's 5 years old. I gotta take it back to the store though cas the reverb stopped working.

  • I'm sure it is nothing serious, these amps are really well made, enjoy your amp, mate!!

  • Cool, it sounds like some sort of harmonist effect. If so what interval is the VG88 set too?

  • Indeed it is-- I think the low E was octave down and the rest tuned in fifths.

  • Are you playing in stereo? I've found that the amplifier is obsolete when playing with stereo processors and synths....now I plug into the PA....and I get a BIG SOUND.

  • Sure thats the way to go,and if you go stereo thru a PA, would be way huge. They are not made for guitar amps anyway, you need sub speakers to really make them come alive.

  • To tell you the truth, I am not using it much. But it certainly expands the sound if you use multiple amps; main guitar-Gr33-VG88 and three amps does make a huge sound and you can control each. But setting them up is another story, you know??

  • I have a Roland Gr-33, and I'm considering the VG-88...is it worth the investment?

  • I do have another vid where I use three amps and GR33 and VG88 both, check it out.

  • Ill sell u mine, I never liked it but U might.
