beekevent has got montoya mixed up with raikkonen i think! Montoya left because he felt f1 had no future with such tight rules and lack of overtaking. Whenever montoya touched wheels with someone he was blamed automatically. He had enough and i dont blame him. F1 is only coming back to life now. Finally the FIA are changing rules and regs to make overtaking more possible.

He didn't get kicked out of McLaren, he left because he was getting shit from the team constantly for failing to outperform his clearly favoured team mate. It wasn't known then that Kimi was leaving to go to Ferrari in 2007, however it was known that Alonso was coming in, so Juan probably thought that he was jumping before he was pushed.
