  • I THINK THIS A GREAT WAY TO SHOW PEOPLE WHERE LL SAMPLED THE BEAT FROM BUT UM THE TITLE IS A LIL MIS LEADING BUT GREAT JOB OF TEACHING NADIANUNN LOVES IT

  • when i say ive been lookin for this song for like 7 years im not even lieing

  • Wasn't Total supposed to be the next En Vogue or something like that?

  • i thought this was ll cool j lounging glade I like both songs haha

  • swagger jacking at its finest they got this from the big homie bernard

  • I have always loved the original by Bernard Wright Who Do You Love and the Sample on Loungin by LL Cool J and Total. Great songs. They still hold up.

  • The 1996 Girl Group Shades & Their Song "Tell Me" Sounds Just Like This Too !!!

  • Giving credit where it's due. Luv it.

  • this is wicked ive always loved because of loungin, but ive had a change of heart lol xxx

  • didn't a bad boy affiliated rapper also interpolate this song?

  • my jam

  • @mddarch2; i'm a NYC born musician and I'm one of those who grew up with hiphop BEFORE it was even referred to as "hiphop". therefore I am already very familiar with its origins and its impact on the world. I take pride in hiphop as i do all black music that has its creative roots in the african pre and post slavery phenomenon. I am very knowledgeable about its historical rise and unfortunate contemporary fall frm grace. But its weakness was its inherent need 2depend on others CREATIONS to exist

  • moreover...any music whose origin can be traced 2the survivors' struggle of the transatlantic slave trade always IMPACTED THE WORLD.Whether it be early forms of the "call n answer" singing from the plantations, or gospel, blues, jazz, fusion,RocknRoll, soul, funk, RnB, & hiphop. The world-wide appeal of hiphop can be partly explained as easily as any other music from this tradition. It's appeal also can be explained by understanding that this music is simple..a proven recipe for music popularity.

  • so... i am NOT "tearing it down"...but pointing out its inherent defieciency. Ironically, its that very defeciency coupled with its mass appeal that has allowed it to be easy fodder for mass manipulation by the so called "powers that be"..it is NO coincidence my friend, that the earlier years of rap birthed more culturally/socially powerful, meaningful and noteworthy songs than its watered down, lackluster, no bite, commercialized contemporary descendant. I give credit where credit is due.

  • I don't have a problem with sampling. It actual made me go find the original artists if i didn't know where they jacked the beat from. If the original artist gets credit and the samples get cleared and they get their money it don't see anything wrong with it.

  • i don't have a problem with sampling either...as you said..AS LONG AS THE THE ORGINATOR GETS CREDIT AND PAID...which if u know about the legal battles that took place in the earlier days of rap...you would know about how the civil courts were barraged with lawsuits overwhelming the system so much that music copyright infringement laws had to be more precisely revised.I clearly remember (I ran a studio back then) how so many rap "artists" were samplin left and right w/out regard for ownership!

  • the original is the orginal...period. LL does NOT have song with out. take his rap out and play it by itself...it would just a bunch of words against nothing...people kill me. Hey why don't i rap over some of Mozarts stuff...and say i wrote a new song...go learn how to play an instrument and create the song from SCRATCH like nard did...then ur saying something...anything else is just bitin!! which goes for about 90% of all hip hop tunes especially from the 80's nad 90's

  • @keybobrob what r u talkin about seems like your rambling about absolutely nothing

  • @sbcroon rambling...lol...ur funny...I was chatting with somebody else.

  • i perfer ll cool j version ma opinon

  • Its all good baby just put the record on the needel or the lazer on the graft.. no problem just play da 2 damn things.

  • love both.

  • Never knew up until now it was collabo with "112 !!! "

  • both of these songs the original and sample are classics thanks..

  • ll dnt get enuff credit 4 being pioneer of hip hop...juss cuzz he gott alla tha females dnt mean he notta legend. hes up dere wit tha greats

  • @matt2fresh LL is the REASON y love songs in hip hop EXIST... but he gets no credit... if it wasn't for him there would be no plies no drake NONE of that!! LL created their STYLES

  • @jgatlin77 i so agree.

  • @jgatlin77 thats what im saying. people have no respect for legends.ll cool been doing what drak and plies been doing for years.

  • @matt2fresh Yes he never lost any battles and ice-t never responded after ll said he used to be "a downtown car thief". that was on "to tha break of dawn"

  • Bernard Wrights version (Old School) is a whole lot better.

  • yea if u were born back then lol. this is more up to date, but both songs are good for their time.

  • die

  • Your title is misleading.

  • ?

    Because??

  • I really thought it was the ll cool j video. Wait a minute, c I did not watch it entirely because I thought it was bernard wright's video.

  • No Problem, good vision!!!

  • i clicked this thinkin i was gonna see ll's video and im pretty sure thats what Kwased meant

  • @snoopygiorgio

    ?

    Because..?

you put an older version in front?

so most people don't like it when they wanna hear songs, that they hear a part from a whole other song first..

    in other words

when uve put songs to a play list and think ull hear good songs for a while and then hear something what doesent belong then it's not a possitive thing éy.. ?

not that i mind action's like that, tastes differ, >.o

  • @kwaseb You are right his title is misleading cause he should have titled it Benard Wright featuring LL Cool J. Or Benard Wright Who do you love followed by LL Cool J Loungin'...man it's so many possibilities, but I see where he was going with it. He was trying to give the guy credit.

  • my favorite LL song

  • love this song
