@123muffins321 From experience of getting braces, the tubes do suck out saliva, since the teeth need to be completely dry so that the brackets can adhere well! And, it didn't hurt when I was getting my braces put on, it was more that you can feel pressure and it's kind of uncomfortable. To be honest, the 2-3 days after you get the braces hurt a lot to eat, so stick with yogurt, mashed potato and other soft foods, unless pain doesn't bother you and then you eat whatever!

@casarela11 Well, the actual procedure was entirely painless c: You could feel pressure on your teeth, but no actual pain. That lasted for a few hours, then at night there was a mild pain. The next day it hurt a little more, but after that the pain gradually went down. Eating of course was a little uncomfortable at first, but it just takes some getting used to.

Now there's no pain at all, but there are some troubles with eating. :]

The only real problem was recently I bit the inside of my lip, and nearly every time I talked, the brace would get caught on my lip, *shivers*. Not pleasant. But other then that, I don't even really feel them there.

ummm braces don't help overbite. headgear does... braces is meant for straightening your teeth and geting rid of gaps. headgear is for adjusting your jaw to cure overbite..
