This interviewer is terrible she said she did research, yet through out the video she gets some basic facts about Utada and her musical history wrong. 1)the "EASY BREEZY" comment about the bathing suit "that was new"....what that was no were near new when she did this interview, like 7 years ago. 2)how could not have know that she's in both japan and america. and 3) her legendary name is UTADA not YOUTADA so either learn how to pronounce Japanese or learn how to simply pronounce her name!
She's just so amazing with how she makes English versions of her Japaneses songs...
especially simple and clean...she didn't totally stick up to the original rhythm and melody of the song... she made some changes and yet it still sounded so good!!!
Utada will be having her US tour starting this month. If you're living in one those states in the US where she'll be performing or in London you'd probably get the chance to see her. Lucky for you... but most of the tickets in different venues have been sold out already....
She was born in the US which is why her English is so well, she is Japanese American lol. Anyway she sings great and I am going to buy her new album :) Love her

It really surprises me how well she can speak english. I knew her english was great from listening to her work, but to be honest, her english is probably better than mine, and I've lived in U.S. most of my life!
She doesn't know a thing about Utada, why interview her without knowing who she is, from all her previous hits single, journalist and djs, learn to read and listen to thier older songs b4 you guys interview a artist from japan or other countries, u dont know s$8t bout her, or music.
Everyone's speaking voice is different from their singing voice. I have a similiar singing range as hers and also have a lower tone when I speak. So this seems normal for me as well.

true, i've noticed that bit in "some" interviews and i also noticed how she reminds me of Zard's singer Izumi Sakai who also had a great voice and both her and Utada tend to be shy sometimes, and more importantly their both down to earth people
lol, I had to laugh at the part about the make-up artist for the Easy Breezy video. It's funny because I remember a lot of her fans complained about the heavy make-up in that video and evidently she's in accordance with how her fans felt. I could see the difference in her Come Back to Me video. It's glaringly obvious she's using her Japanese artist to give her that subtleness her make-up usually has. I'm glad she was able to learn from her mistakes and become better.

i loved utada since first love dont get me wrong, she's so pretty and very inspirational but when she speaks in english interviews she always tends to ugh ehh ughh think ugh say this and trail off to something that does not exactly correlate to the first question!!! ugh so frustrating.. but i love her choice of words
