  • 5:55 lol your giving it a finger!

  • So if I put a runcore inside my eepc900 I have a restriction?

  • What program is he using to check speeds?

  • jkk's cool, but DUDE. You don't have a computer ON with the keyboard OFF. Otherwise great!

  • you said "shitty" ,calm down. It's youtube man

  • Can I install one of these on Viliv X70?

  • In the task manager it looks like theres two cores even though I'm almost certain its a single core.. I've noticed this on other netbooks with what I've assumed were single core Atoms.. Is it dual core or is the task manager just glitchy?

  • it seems like because HT (Hyper-threading)

  • No, the Atom 270 is a dual Cpu.

My Acer One 110 shows the same.

This is why these Netbook are so GOOD.

  • Atom is NOT a dual-core CPU. It uses a proprietary Intel technology called Hyperthreading, which basically uses your 64-bit capable CPU to run 2 32-bit threads simultaneously. Dual-core Atoms are on Intel's Atom roadmap but have not been released yet.

  • Hyperthreading allows 1 core to handle two simultaneous threads of information at a time.

  • and again a super review from jkk mobile :-)

i ordered today the same runcore ssd for my acer 751 ;)

i also got an runcore ssd for my EEE900 and there it was a difference like day&night

so im very excited how it will perform in the acer 751 :-)

i will post a video here on youtube :)

  • Is this SSD TRIM Compliant?

Of course, we would urge all SSD manufacturers to get on the TRIM bandwagon before Windows 7 is released later this year. Microsoft has also put forward an initiative to label TRIM-enabled SSDs as Windows 7-ready with a special logo, but we have not seen any forward momentum with this initiative yet.

  • 5:05 "a normal HD this shitty stuff here and its a no go it just doesn't play" LOL!!!!! you can say that again! The days of SSD are upon us :)

  • COOL, nice video

  • went to your site jkkmobile you tested it out on Eee pc 1000he numbers look good is fast as hp min ? how about a vid on 1000he with the runcore in it .

  • will the full read speeds be reached on different netbooks like the 1000he etc. ?

  • 20 Different Apps opened? OR 20 windows running under a FEW Apps opened? None the less, your reviews are great and one of the most in-depth and knowledgeable!

  • Either way, it's 20 different processes added to the task manager

  • 楼主中国人吧?哈哈,听得出来。

  • He's eastern European, I think.

  • JKK is from Finland :D

  • jkkmobile is a real crusader when it come to educating the world about SSD characteristics ! I have learnt a lot from him in understanding the SSD's in my Eee machines. Well worth the time to view his reports here.

  • UNREAL.

  • can you use it on the sony vaio p?

  • That's really cool actually...

I don't know why, but the fact that you didn't pop back the keyboard really distracted me.

    I'm weird like that.

  • interesting video, thanks..

  • dude supersweet stuff ^^

  • What application are you using for the benchmark?

  • Crystal DiskMark

  • Thank you!

  • Windows XP?

    Why not Linux/?!

  • you can install linux on it anytime you want

  • wow, ssds are really amazing. Was the experience of using the ssd for the first time more exciting than have sex? :)

  • nope

  • but... maybe as exiting as an old man kissing you tenderly in the neck...

  • would this be the best netbook setup youve had so far?

  • nope... Eee PC 1000HE with this SSD is better

  • @jkkmobile SSD can make netbook make like notebook.

  • lol this costs $259

jkkmobile, you must have a lot of money to throw around, lol :)

  • thats not a good why to test the speed of the ssd, best to boot from the pc first turn on then you will see the speed my pc boots up about 30 sec

  • Oh wow that was fast!!!! What can I do to get this type of speed on my Mini 9???

  • So what speeds could be expected when using a chipset that isn't limited to 60mb/sec? I'm seriously thinking about stuffing a 64gb in a Toshiba A300 laptop and use the harddrive that's in it at the moment to put in a 2.5 inch external case for data. It has core 2 duo cpu running around 2ghz and 4gb ram and it still also skips on HD flash.

  • 250 on read and 180 on write... go to my site ( jkkmobile . com ) to see the tests..

  • Could this be put in the asus eee pc 900ha?

  • yep

  • is it for only mini 9? or can it be put in other net books?

  • it doest fit on mini 9.. its mini 10 on video...

It fits to most netbooks or notebooks ( not to hp mini 1000 or eee pc ssd versions )

  • Could I fit in this in a Mini 9 if I do the mod you did for the 128GB one?

  • No, this is much bigger ( 2.5 inches )

  • 32Gb is enough for OS and apps . but for big data sets , 64Gb is the min. in short, with 32Gb I(you) would need another storage device for DATA

  • i beat it with my desktop ^^ - i have a new samsung ssd, it was about €300

  • Could you also test it in the eeepc 1000HE?

    :-)

  • test on 1000he on my site now

  • Thanks!!

    I will look! :-)

  • Nice speed, can you please list the processes that you started up?

    ty

  • Haha man that's fast!!! I want that SSD.

  • I'll be saving for a SSD as soon it comes here in the Philippines. Do you think a SSD will be available for a MSI Wind U100?

  • The MSI Wind uses a standard 2.5" SATA drive so, yes, you will. I have a video on how to replace the HDD in it with an HDD but it would be the same with an SSD. You can also go to the RunCore website to see some prices.
