If you listen to Scuba's earlier stuff, you'll see his style resembled Burial's in nothing whatsoever.

Everybody has their thing right? Burial has never really done it for me, but this man Scuba here is one of my favorites; I don't really hear any resemblance with Burial. More with Pinch maybe, Underwater Dancehall instrumentals, you know?

scuba is nothing like burial and not inspired by him. his main influences are from Berlin (where he now lives) and the classic warp artist's such as autechre.

scuba's done a huge range of stuff not just the burial-esque ambient tunes. A Mutual Antipathy is much more traditional chillout stuff. I think he moved to berlin for a while or something too, tunes like "Volt" have a kinda european electronica influence.

...i could see why ppl think burial and scuba are alike...personally, i think the dubstep world would be better off if there were more guys out there that were inspired by burial...think its kinda a waste of time to argue that they're similiar artists and who's biting who rara bullshiz....to me, its jus good grooving subtle garage dubstep...there should be more of it to combat all the beat you in the head heavy handed homogenized junk...peace

@dignun this is like burial in that it is "night" music. burial said he thought his music was good music to listen to while driving around at night, and this song is too. but their styles are set apart enough. burial feels more warm and purple, scuba feels yellow sort of. burial's drums are more found sounds and scuba's tend to be more traditional snare kick hi hat rimshot. sounds good though.
