Don't condone it but I understand it. Dickey was making a complete fool of himself on stage. It's only because he was his friend that he kept that drunken "showdog" on as long as he did!

A 100 guitar players could have replaced Dickey, but NO ONE could have replaced that VOICE. And by the way Gregg also wrote songs for the band.

Well lets see. You pretty much stayed wasted up until your recent marriage and became sober which a great big congradulations is in order. But did you have to become the POT calling the kettle Black by firing an original member(Dickey Betts) who kept the band rolling. We all know of his problem with beer. What if he had fired you when you were always wasted. at least Dickey, not only one of the greatest guitarest, but was writing most of the songs and was suppose to be your friend, u fire him.
