Cool, but Vistapro was doing that in the '90s. Sure it rendered to file to make stills / animation but computers weren't as fast then. What's the special feature of this?
i have a few questions, can u make a super big areas in blender ? cuz im thinkin about learning how to use it. also, can u use the HDR effect ? and, how long did u learnt to do such animation ?
perlin noise + erosion would result in what we have here. Perlin noise is nothing other than turbulence added to an ordinary noise function. You can do it 2D to get the heightmap as we see is done here. Then by eroding the heightmap we'll get a more natural looking surface.

@PikolUploader Do you even know what a perlin noise is? He probably used heightmaps, marching cubes or voxels (bad idea) to generate the terrain.

@Hy22n Yes, I was trying to say something like that. I guess I am just too inexperienced... But as far as I know it is not on blender lol
