no i think the newwer ones are getting the talking things later not right away becuz thats what they did to these buses in malvern they came in december 2007 and they didnt have automaed stop announcements installed until May
By now most TTC buses have the automatic announcements activated, but however there are only several TTC Nova NG buses that have the automatic announcements working. I was on the 47 Lansdowne Bus which has the automatic announcements working.
Notice that the stop announcements don't work - you would think they would have put that in place before putting them in service. Comfy seats, though.

I heard the next batch of buses will not be Hybird, but use the engines in the original Orion VII.

what bars.. do you mean the bars to hold on to in the bus if there are no seats? Because 12xx, & 13xx have those..
