definitely looks about as difficult as most v14's, but really the entire rating system is ridiculous, certain climbing styles suit certain people better, for all we know it is a sandbagged v16 for him even, but many other people may feel more natural on the climb, could feel like a v12 if you send it right... there's no rock solid and simple way to asses difficulty, which is why so many professional and talented climbers find ratings to be absolutely pointless, aesthetics > rating always

First of all, unless you can do this climb, you cannot rate it. Second, why are people so worried about ratings.. just enjoy the climbing. who fucking cares if its V2 or V16? as long as a person is pushing their personal limit then thats all that matters.

Zangrel is amazing and as mentioned before I would trust his judgment on the grade as he's been around the block a few times...it isn't fair how easy he makes that look.

idk. the facts are out there that its not quite v16, but zangerl is an amazing boulderer and one that deserves my utmost respect. if he says it's 16, i'm gonna go with him.

This was repeated 4 times in a year, and once by an 8a+ climber. It's certainly hard but it's not V16.
