  • Great movie!

  • thumbs down and dislike if your an antisemite

  • This film almost killed me

  • I'm baffled by this movie. The characters were uninteresting, the story was not interesting. All the movie showed was an endless collimation of problems by one man, all to convey the message "accept mystery". I got it the first time thanks.

  • the coen brothers can never have a normal trailer

  • mind blowing film ! really great

  • great movie !

  • Man I never thought Arnold Rothstein was such a pussy....

  • the "fuck you" approach to film making

  • iam understand this movie...you're all not eh ? HAH seriously ....

  • have a headache T^T

  • whats with the head banging,seriously.....

  • @shortic1995 It's funny :P

  • Serious

  • + can somebody explain the end ? This movie was a waist of time

  • @enzomues *waste

  • @enzomues well I guess they just wanted to show much live sucks:)

  • @enzomues LOL the entire meaning behind this movie is to accept mystery. Idiot xD

  • He's Arnold Rothstein now!

  • look this nice story at fillmsi.co.cc and enjoy!

  • I feel like Larry a lot

But I feel like Im not alone

  • nailing it down, so important

  • JEEEEEEWS!

  • @stranget92 I don't understand. The Jewish elements are not only what makes the film great, without them there is no movie.

  • that woman larry was talking to has a man voice

  • "Mere surmise, sir. Very uncertain."

One of the best quotes from this movie in my opinion. I loved this movie. I've only seen it once though.

  • Pretty much liked all the Coen brothers films but this was just a pointless, meaningless film that went nowhere. You're kind of expecting it to kick in at some point but it just drags on depressingly from start to finish.

Take my advice and don't watch it! Even on filmsi.co.cc....whatever the fuck that is!!

  • @errrrwhatthe

for me, a serious man is not only the best coen movie so far, but it also hit me like a revelation. definitely one of the best movies of movie history. too perfect to be true.

  • FUCK YOU ADS BEFORE AN AD

  • @GrandOfMan ADCEPTION

    couldn't resist.

  • Didn't like it. I was hoping for something great (as it's by the Coens) but came away very disappointed. I just wasn't interested in the characters at all.

  • Nothing like a studio gangster poser Ice Cube commercial to ruin your movie trailer

  • it could of ended really well but just kinda stopped :/

  • @RustySlammington Dont most Coen films leave you with that feeling? ;)

  • Wow, that was a seriously strange movie. Very, very odd. Very good, but also very odd.

  • This movie sucks ass. Worst movie I've ever seen in a theater. 0/5

  • I saw this movie about 6 months ago and it is one of very few movies i havent enjoyed.. to its credit it was interesting but in the end i didnt like it found it depressing and pointless. I just saw it on a list as 3rd best comedy of 2009, and i was shocked so i had to look it up on here to see what the piblic opinion of it was

  • Really boring film. The point is either that there is no point to anything at all (including human suffering), or that it sucks to be a Jew, or both.

  • @TobyGeralds i agree with u after seeing all the positive reviews on the internet i thought i would give it a go WRONG what boring shit movie, it just goes to show that critics dont know jack about films assholes

  • @EatMyWetJuicyTurd even though it's easy to tell just by your nickname that you cannot be taken seriously, I'll still reply. You see, there are different kinds of movies. Some scare you, some make you laugh, some make you cry... and some make you think. For example, where I live, in Moscow, this film was only shown in one theater, and for a reason. It's not for a large audience, because most people go to the movies to eat popcorn and have a good time, no problem, I like it too. This is different

  • @EatMyWetJuicyTurd this one makes you think, and watching it once probably won't be enough to understand it. This is not a film that you watch with friends, or munch popcorn, this is a film that you have to watch by yourself without any distractions. If you're into it, of course. I, for one, love when a movie makes my brain work, and this one did. You're saying that critics don't know anything about films because they gave A Serious Man positive reviews? You're wrong, very wrong.

  • @ihatemadrid alright mate r give it another go i bought it as part of a coen bros collection i watched 40mins of it and said shit but if i watch it all and dont like it im gonna troll your ass

  • This movie is a kind of boring. No doubt Fargo and No country for old men are much better. I think that the Cohens kept their style in this movie but weren't able to keep the excitement that the others two cause. It is definetely well done, but not that attractive.

  • SO BAD

  • in ten years every movie fan will know that this is the coen brothers' finest film ever. it took ten years for people to see that the big lebowski was a classic, and in ten years everyone will pretend that they knew how brilliant this film was when it first came out.

  • @mommymineful jefferson airplane - somebody to love

  • good trailer... and that's about it.

  • I'm too smart for this movie.

  • @blackyblackblack505 What do you mean?

  • A brilliantly made film and a brilliantly cut trailer.

  • ... fuck my ass, he looks exactly like Tom Hanks, it's not even funny.

  • @19231881 How come you think it was a "shit movie"?

  • omg :D :D

  • I can't believe how good this trailer is.

  • This fucking movie is such a fucking waste of time I don't have words anymore to describe how much I hate this fucking movie, its the fucking spawn of satan and it makes me fucking depressed... I love Coen brothers and most of their work, but this fucking piece of shit needs to fucking burn...

  • @panicked94 Spawn of Satan? I understand it not being everyone's cup of tea, it's not that exciting and not much really "happens" in the movie, but I think it at least works on a comedic level and it also makes you think. Did they really die at the end? The whole movie they make you think that Larry won't get tenure and that Danny is going to eventually get beat up by that kid, but that never happens either. Like I said, it's not for everyone but it's not horrible. It works on some levels.

  • @panicked94 dude, Burn After Reading...THAT should friggin burn after watching

  • @kroq1120 Indeed, but A Serious Man was a whole lot worse, it was at the very least somewhat possible to watch Burn after Reading... For me at least.

  • @panicked94 Burn after reading was a vacation for the Coens, it gave me the impression they had some sort of quota to meet.

  • @panicked94 Dayum son, what's not to like about this movie?

  • @zzd00medzz There's another thread at the IMDb boards discussing precisely that, and the general consensus is that that's nonsense--atheists, agnostics, Catholics, Muslims, etc., liked it. If that's what you mean by "according [to] the IMDB," read more carefully. This film isn't religion-specific.

  • like this if you watched the full add for assasins creed XD

  • this movie is awesome..going to watch this in webmovietube

  • the trailer made more sence than the film haha

  • @MrJumaidy

Shut the fuck up, you fucking spammer!

  • I've tried to be A Serious Man...

Damn this movie amazing! Most underrated Coen Bros film.

  • seems serious

  • Those wacky Jews...

  • this any good?

  • the most brilliant trailer in years!

  • Probably the creepiest trailer I've ever seen

  • Jefferson Airplane - somebody to love

  • Damn jews...

  • The Jewish American beauty

  • Best. Trailer. Ever

  • This is one of the best movies I've ever seen and it's extremely underrated, probably because there is no violence or action.

  • this^entir^leekd<move^can^be<sen^in?^my^chnnel^

  • A conceptual art piece from the Coen Brothers circa 1967...looks and feels more like a Todd Solondz film from a script and story perspective, but the casting, set design and cinematography shine and gravitate towards the Coen's exceptional style. Wonderful performances by Michael Stuhlbarg and Richard Kind! Also loved Adam Arkin's deadpan performance as his lawyer. Brilliant!

  • Hey, great trailer. It replicates exactly the experience of seeing this movie - I'd say it was like nails on a chalkboard, but nails on a chalkboard have a satisfactory ending.

  • The Jewish American Beauty

  • bet the Coens where burning those things that look like the "like/dislike-O-meter" below the view count of this video, whilst editing this wonderful movie. (need to ash that bitch...)

  • why the hell didnt this win best picture

  • every time i hear that song at the end i cant help think of jim carey in the cable guy

  • this trailer makes me really wanna watch the movie. i can't find it anywhere online though

  • Fantastic movie. Not for the dumbass crowd.

  • I was unsure how I felt about this movie while I was watching it. After it concluded, I couldn't stop thinking about it, and I was amazed at how strongly it left an impression on me.

I say give it a try.

  • being a jew i found this FUCKING HILARIOUS. i LOVE THIS FILM. when the son gets high at his bar mitzvah, genious xD

  • Wow, some of you really have problems if you had this movie so much.

  • loved this film. reality is absurd. and pretty much inescapable.

  • WORST COEN FILM !

  • @FRAANT07 Got nominated for Best Picture you fucking idiot

  • incredibly good movie and an amazing trailer...

  • @TheRayFrom1989 amazing trailer? are you high?

  • Ah the Jewish dilemma

welcome to our reality as a society

    and don't fight the Airplane!

  • hes thinking XD

  • Wait....a trailer that doesn't tell me how the movie ends? What will i do? How will i function? I need to know the plot so my tiny brain can understand it before i go and watch it. This is BLASPHEMOUS!!!!!!!!!

  • @KagurasSacrifice Fucking genius.

  • this movie is fanstastic...watch it on webmovietu.....FUCK SPAMMERS!

  • i can't understand this movie

  • @Rupieciarnia I think it's a very cool one. It's about those things you would never want to happen to you but at the end it tells you that there is some justice in life :)

  • Can't stop watching this trailer! It's just so fucking awesome, as the movie is.

  • The movie is much better than this trailer. See it.

  • hahahahaha , this movie was ******* funny =D

  • Great film with an ending that makes you feel sick!

  • DEEP & ELEGANT CINEMATOGRAPHY. FOR true admirers and lover of our illogical life, and philosophers in essence and aspirations.

  • @Damynine agreed!

After last night's Zurich opening night of True Grit, with a standing ovation at the end, I was wondering about the Cohen Brothers' amazing diversity of their films, and each genre turn out a masterpiece. In Serious Man I admired the description of Jewish middle class life, apparently partly autobiographical. Nice interiors, too, I think there is only Almodovar's to match. And then the historic color hue adds authenticity.

  • @TheEliminationGame Silly boy.

  • Probably better than the movie is gonna be! check this in webmovietube

  • I WANT TO SEE THIS FILM!!!! I BOUGHT A DVD TITLED "A SINGLE MAN" COZ I THOUGHT THAT WAS IT BUT IT WAS A COLIN FIRTH'S GAY FILM. I WAS CONFUSED. BUT IT WAS A GREAT FILM NEVERTHELESS.

  • @geanjerity well dont buy it. better movies by the brothers.

  • Great movie from the brothers that makes you think about the meaning of it all.

  • the first time i watched this film i really didnt care for it. but post-viewing, i just couldn't get it out of my head. So many ways to interpret the film, so i watched it again, and the truth is... its nothing short of a masterpiece.

  • @TheSicInMe thats my experience with every coen bothers movie i've seen

  • Fucking fucked up trailer.

  • @beSsi3g your mom is a shit movie

  • @Vesters1 troll

  • @Vesters1 your dad got a tiney pines

  • OH. MY. GOD. Did I ever tell you about when I was at an ultimate show down with my "Grampa Sy" during a chess tournament in his backyard, he seemed to zone out for a second and when I prompted him to talk (I think I was 8 or 9--MAYBE 10 years old at that point in time) he roused up from is posture and without missing a beat he said, "I'm thinking. I just need to rest my eyes so I can think." ..... Needless to say, the game came to a stale mate...

  • @Vesters1 Ducheeeeeeeeebaaaaag

  • Coen Brother's do not disappoint here.... don't care what people say but this movie was amazing and only true Coen Brother's fans will understand it!

  • This movie wasn't happy or exciting. It also wasn't entertaining, interesting or worth watching to end. Other than the ending, I love the shit out of 'no country' and all of 'a serious man' felt like that ending.

  • suck movie lol

  • What an effing great movie. Either my #1 or #2 of 2009.

  • the most jew movie ever

  • that movie was simply garbage, waist of my damn time.

  • @dopeboiistone It's called '' Waste '' not Waist

  • @darroni123 - and who asked you?

  • Good film, but hardly great or one of the Coen Bros best.

  • what the song from the end?

  • @dan95boy Juliette and the licks - Somebody to love.

  • @dan95boy original jefferson airplane .

  • I was depressed and after I watch the movie i got even more depressed! And they say this is a comedy!

  • @girl4433 It's a black comedy

  • i thought the ending of the movie was perfect, in terms of how it relates to the rest of the movie. it's the story of job, and how much one man can take and still be a good, decent, and moral man. then he does an immoral thing and is punished further. as far as the coens go, though, it's a movie about their jewish upbringings in minnesota, and their obvious search and lack of answers in the universe.

  • PLAY VIDEO AND THEN PRESS F1 AT INTERVALS OF 1 SEC :)))

  • this movie gave me one giant "WHAT THE FUUUUCCCCCKKKKK" feeling.

    I mean, what the HELL??

  • so, what happened to the dybbuk?

  • great movie. weird ending (cliffhanger). hope there's a sequel.

  • I live in bloomington haha its weird seeing this stuff because i know where it is

  • This was a very funny movie for me. I think some of the funniest movies are the ones that have a dark, vaguely evil element to them, but doesn't have a gimmicky feel. I think this movie's moral is that bad things can happen to good people, and that while we can perceive order in the universe, as the film's protagonist states, "no one can ever really know anything"

  • saw this late last night, the scene where his son's high in the temple for his barmitzvah was hilarious, i'm not even jewish

  • For anyone wondering about the beginning scene, it "was nothing more than a little short that they made up to get the audience in the proper mood, and that there is no meaning behind it."-according to Imdb

  • @mudderp1000 i think the coen's are notorious for stretching the truth. great filmmakers never give out secrets, or hidden meanings to their movies.

  • The ending didn't suck just because you didn't understand it. I hate when people whine about endings to movies such as this or No Country for Old Men it's so obnoxious.

  • @natlchamps I agree whole heartedly! Endings creative as those leave you with something to think about, and have a more lingering (though in a good way) effect. I think you get your money's worth that way, rather than with more traditional endings which are soon forgotten.

  • the ending sucked dick

  • @WKaliberr Your eloquent explanation suggests you may be too intellectually superior to have enjoyed this film.

  • @WKaliberr fuck you, go watch stupid 3D movie dumbass and enjoy the epic ending

  • For those of you wondering, this film is loosely based on the story of Job from the old testament and very loosely based on the Coen brothers' experiences growing up in a Jewish community in Minnesota.

  • @FerrisWheelFun88

job got taken everything from him but got it back, when the hell did this guy get anything back, he's still FUCKED

  • "What happened to the goy?"

    &
