Management really sucks in the Postal Service and would love to give us extra blocks every day as well, even in horrible weather. Anyone that doesn't work in the snow shouldn't complain, and yes you have NO idea how difficult it is to deliver your mail from day to day.
I wouldn't want to be any further north or south. Kansas. We did have a bad winter this year - 6 more years until retirement! Management is the worst part of the job.
All mail carriers, just remember to think about the nice customers! Don't let the ignorant idiotts! wreck your job. I quit my mail carrier job yearrrs ago to raise my son. I've had office jobs since and hated them!!!! I'm taking my test Friday to be a rural carrier and can't waittttt!!! Of course I'll know how to do things differently this time!! Mostly the other employees! lol
@bobcows It's not so much that I couldn't pass such a test, it's that I wouldn't. That is because I would not work at such a remedial job. I prefer to make significantly more than $40k/year or whatever pauper salary they make.
I am a maillady in chicago, and let me tell delivering mail in the winter sucks. Its a very hard job and the people on the outside looking in have NO FUCKING CLUE what we go thru just to get their mail to them.
I'd rather be hotter than hell than deliver in the rain. Wait, freezing cold in the winter, rains storms in the spring, sweating profusely in the summer, fall the the ONLY season I like to work in. This job sucks!!!
I don't know about that! I delivered mail in the desert. My mail truck got to 148 inside!!!! I constantly had to stay hydrated often got dizzy it sucked also! I would hate to deliver in constant the rain though
I don't know how carriers in seattle do it. I hate wet mail. Then u have dumb ass customers that say stupid shit like, awe my mail is wet. Duh its raining outside.
@lovablelibra i feel ya, I'm a maillady in texas where it's hot as hell. People think this job is easy, this is the most difficult job I've ever had in my life!
I too am a mailman in NJ but i have to tell you that song with the video says it all....now its the 100 degree heat as well...... sticky but great vid... hopefully mgt. sees it.....
Im a mailman and I'll take any one of you punks out with me to walk 14 miles a day, up steps and hills. You all wouldn't be able to walk for a week after 1 day of work with us. And I hope its 100 degrees that day with our little fan we call a/c. Or a downpour with thunder and lightning, or 2 feet of snow. Better think about it before you put us down. Punks
OMFG!!!!! ahahahahahahaha dude u are so sad "id like to take you punk out with me to help" hahahahahahahahaha my dad is a truck driver for the post office he drives across state at below 10 degrees so stop winging mofo and btw the only reason u wonna take people out to help u is so u can rape dem XD
Not even a retirement is a postal goal anymore. They cut routes, contract out and mail volume mysteriously drops during mail count which is when the guys pay is calculated. This poor guy is likely delivering more mail for less pay than he got 5 years ago. You can count on the price of stamps going up though. $30.00 an hour? Lmao! Dream on! Maybe an executive but certainly not this poor schlepp.
The worse Job I've ever had...POST OFFICE...I quit...negative place, management are bunch of retards..they are a bunch of SAD people....they just think about retirement..they don't live TODAY..they live in the future thinking how happy they will be after retiring...sad, sad...If you work at the U.S.P.S. pray...
i never knew watching a mail man would be sad... :/
