  • they say u hit harder in american football but to be honest it looks like u hit way less hard

  • American football is 10x better than Rugby. A rugby player is taught a certain way to hit, so you're talking all this about how Americans wear pads, well in AF players can hit however they please. Just face it, Rugby sucks. Its all about AF. Its not like a Championship game of Rugby is shown internationally like American Football's. Oh. And im a girl. I DO know what its like to play football too. But we can all agree soccer sucks.

  • @brittney803514 The super 15 competition, the Heineken cup, the itm cup, the currie cup, the 6 nations, the four nations all get shown in different countries around the world. The Rugby World Cup has an accumulative viewership of over 4 billion. Of the 111 million that watch the superbowl 95% of their viewing numbers come from the USA and Canada, the only 2 countries that take the sport seriously.

  • Even though you talk mad shit about the NFL or just American football in general. Yall still be watching it! Wearing NFL jerseys! Just face it, Americans could care less bout your sport. But you care to watch ours.

  • Rugby is for men af is for padded men...

  • AF support their players playing rugby because of the benefits they gain from the game of rugby,

Rugby doesn't support their players playing AF.. Because that's just a downgrade to the game of rugby. If football gains from rugby, but rugby can't gain in football, and I mean in ANY way possible, then doesn't that say alot?

  • @iboughtfood What makes you think AF players benefit from playing Rugby? 98% of them have never seen a Rugby match in their lives, and of the 2% that have, less than half have actually ever played. Organizations like College Rugby USA have to beg coaches to allow the very few players who are interested, to play. US Rugby orgs realize how superior AF athletes are, they would sell their souls for players with AF talent and abilities.

  • @bebomac5 I think its silly to even compare the two sports. Only the most elite rugby players could hack it even slightly in AF and vice versa, and even then they wouldnt be very good. Whilst they appear to be similar in some regards they really demand different skill sets. AF is very much play by play based, while rugby is more about control of the breakdown. Also, I wouldnt compare US rugby to AF, as the US arent very good at it :P

  • @iboughtfood Btw, Many training methods used in Rugby, come frome AF, especially speed drills and strength training.

Your statement was truly misinformed, AF hardly acknowleges R's existance, and there is NO thought from AF that R helps AF in any way. If AF athlete do play others sports, almost 100% of the time, it's Basketball, Baseball, Track, or Wrestling, or just do year round FB training. I'd encourage you to search AF training vids.

  • name of the song???plzz

  • @ldariox love and war by drowning pool

  • all i can say : men strength vs metal-rubber-plastics strength.. funny

  • @jmanistheman12345678 In response to your to your stupid statement, which you've now removed because you're a coward, the answer is Never!.. Absolutely not!

Here is a pretty comprehensive history, Read up!

    Link: en. wikipedia. org/wiki/History_of_American_football

  • american football =)

  • How bput dat pga?

  • rugby players wear mouthguards, handegg players wear face masks, tights, shoulder pads, chest pads, helmets, seat belts, air bags, parachutes etc..

  • @zzzaaa09900 You know, I've been pushing the stance of being on the American Football side, but I have really got to commend you on your wittiness and brilliance! I love the continuation of "seat belts, air bags, parachutes" LOL...love it! It's sad because it really seems to be going that direction but unfortunately the concussion rate & post career effects are out weighing the hard hitting blood guts engagements of the sport & those in power control the measures; not the players.

  • As a kid, I grew up playing tackle football on paved streets & in parks with no pads/helmets before playing in local recognized leagues. Many NFL players do this sort of thing growing up. This was 10 times the roughness of rugby since American football has more piercing & harder angle of attack hits at full bore than any rugby league. Helmets/pads are mandated because people died in the early years of the game & the U.S. government threatened to ban it otherwise. Research 1905 Pres. Roosevelt!

  • @Jerrico71 way to use that copy and paste.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @jmanistheman12345678 NO! How'd you come up with that fantasy?

  • Comment removed

  • @Jerrico71 haha, people die everywhere, why didnt give them all pads and helmets??

you know, the american football player are like the kids who only fight if the have wooden bat but didn't have any gut to fight barehanded

  • @lifesaach where the f*ck are you from ignorant dumb ass!? Another planet? I initailly grew up in a barrio! Do you know what that is? Do a little research and look at hispanic gangs in America and their intiation process i.e. "walking the line" dumbass. Where do you think all the tough culture hip hop chicano style bad ass influence came from!? Old schoolers always dealt with fists...no guns...no weapons! Get a clue and educate yourself & stay away from the absolutes vato!

  • there is no rugby VS football. two completely different sports

  • American Football is violent for sure, but has been created from the beginning on american standards, meaning for SHOW OFF. Players are quick and athletic, but they act for spectacle unconsidering the health of the guy in front. Rugby has a different approach, it's not spectacular at it's basics (watch a game of the 1970's). Rugby's not a game of physical, but of mental, drawing in the deepest part of you the courage you need to tackle without protection a guy that weights 20 kilos more.

  • @zepaddy You're so full of it, and you have Zero knowlege of what AF is about. Cluless! The NFL has great showmanship, it's part of what makes it so great, but when all is said and done, it's still FB. I have alot of respect for Rugby, it's a fantastic game. However, like many R fans seem to think AF somehow popped out of nowhere, and started with Superbowls and end zone dancing. You disregard it's planning, tactics, heart, strategy, speed and amazing history: watch?v=uERnf4jHe7s .

  • AF players are on steroids. Rugby is natural. Take the pads and helmets off, see how hard they hit then, I'd bust a brick wall down with the amount of protective gear the AF players wear.

  • Are you mental? Most football players played, have played or will play rugby at some point in their lives. Maybe not on a professional level but they still play. Take the the perverbial shit out of your mouth and stop acting American. BTW when was the last time any of them had been on steriods...they do weed and coke duh!

  • @IChingaTuMadre Most NFL players have never even heard of rugby let alone played it.

  • @IChingaTuMadre Why do you think they get so good, and no they don't practice all off-season they have lives... besides NFL supports their players playing rugby. Many NFL athletes, not even NFL but many football athletes in general try their luck with rugby.

  • @IChingaTuMadre Like who?

  • football win

  • @LiLcLayN what?? joke??

  • they look more agile and athletic because of their blockers.. without their blockers, they would not be able to make close to any of the runs that they make.. plus, some american footballers sit on their benches with oxygen masks, so surely they would not be nearly as agile and as fit as any rugby player

  • @iboughtfood Haha! Lol! They look more agile and athletic, because they are! One thing that separates AF players from Rugby players even further is the fact that regardless of player size, speed and agility are not comprimised watch?v=hFJZOwejodA, watch?v=9vl-OrBAEuc, watch?v=Z2ARInxkR1U. NCAA & NFL level athleticism doesn't exist in Rugby. Example: Devin Hester has very good but not great speed, but with a 10.4 100 meter time, he's as fast as anyone in Rugby. watch?v=WQZcmrJrzlY.

  • @iboughtfood That's horseshit you know why well here's a list...Mark Ingram, Peter Warrick, Trent Richardson, Jim Brown, Bo Jackson, Warrick Dunn, Walter Payton, Denard Robinson, lets not forget Barry Sanders who had really shitty blockers in his ENTIRE career...watch one video for each then answer this question...Shall I go on?

  • BUT... Offensive american football players are far more agile and quite possibly more athletic than any rugby back u could name (with the exception of some)

  • Im english and ive played both and i gotta say rugby is alot tougher and alot more physical defensive wise and alot more tiering, but thats only because in my opinion american footballs defense is poor and sloppy, dont meen to sound ridiculous about it but some players try things are just unnecessary, the amount of times ive seen NFL players running Along side the opposition and instead of just wrapping his arms and bringing them down hes tried to jump on the floor infront of them to trip them

  • I belive Football is more fun to play but Rugby is like a huge adrinaline rush! Mad props to both sports

  • Anytime you get de-cleated, pads or not, your in the hurt....great video....both are great sports

  • American Football? Basketball? Baseball? All poor copies of the real sports they're based on ie. Rugby, Netball and Rounders. I mean, AF was supposed to be rugby when it was very first played but no one could remember the rules so they made them up as they went along. The sames probably true about baseball and netball. Having said that, I do like to watch the highlites of a good AF match because you get all the action without all the stopages, and the action in AF is very entertaining.

  • @BILLYnKAREN Your history is horrible. The worst part is that you spout your ignorance publicly. Your wrong on absolutely everything, but I can't let this one slip. Netball was derived from Basketball, which is a uniquely American sport. Try to do a little reading before poisoning the world with your stupidity!

  • @bebomac5 Hahaha!!! Ur like a bad penny, LOL!!!!

  • @Yardbird68 Your like bad gas, but with less personality!

  • @bebomac5 Hmmm, I would rather be like bad gas, then to be just like u, with NO personality............hahaha!

  • @Yardbird68 ....

  • The tights in football r to hold the pads in....the booty shorts in rugby....idk

  • I'm an American, and I say rugby is better. I played American football, and then I joined the rugby team, and rugby is much more fun to play.

  • Lets ask the world which is better..oh wait..yeh only Americans seem to play football! LOL!

    LIVE,BREATHE,LOVE..RUGBY!

  • theres more skill in tackling in rugby, because you have to wrap your arms

  • most of the big hits in af are when the recivers catch the ball mid air resulting in what we call hospital pass meaning you dont give the ball carrier no time to react to the tackle leaving him wide open to getting owned rugby has this to but rarely rugby league has the best hits out of rugby and american football and why do people call stubbies booty shorts the very tight latex pants af players wear is also just as gay and whats with all the ass grabing????

  • @badlerify WHO THE FUCK STARTED THE ASS GRABBING TREND IN AMERICANFOOTBALL???

  • In AF after somebody's tackled, the whistle blows and oh hold up we gotta stop the play somebody's on the ground they might get hurt!

In Rugby, if someone's on the ground, you just ruck over them and they get their ass up and keep on playing.

  • @Wiiluvkatz An AF team cannot play a man down, every player is vital on every play. The advantage to the other team is too great, they become unstoppable by exploiting the vacant position. In addition the line of scrimage is absolute in AF, and remember, absolute precision is needed, can't happen with a boby lying in the way. Btw, injuries are often more severe in AF than Rugby.

  • @TheARMAProductions yea personally i respect rugby because it definitely not something you can go out there and expect to be amazing at on the first try, but which sport really is. that guy generalizing being good at sports to being a race is ridiculous, yea their are a lot of black people that really change the game but so does people like jason kidd, ben roethlisberger, pau gasol, roger federer, a fuckload of non black athletes. some people like that just say things just to say them

  • @ruffsocks You do know Jason Kidd is half black don't you? Not that it matters at all, just pointing out that fact. You could've used Steve Nash!

  • @bebomac5 but you get the point

  • @TheARMAProductions typical yank? you cunts try to be offensive, sounds more like you have a grudge, typical european hating on americans, lol what are you trying to prove?

  • american football=30 pounds of armour

    rugby=120 pounds of MUSSEL

  • @MrMANUSAMOA123 ye ofc I'm exxagerating the under 11 seconds, beast can run the 100m in 11.53 I believe and CJ van der linde is around there aswell..... so Im not far off. My point is that NFL players are more specilized and will pwn a rugby player in a specific area, but overall rugby players are better balanced!

  • nfl players are so fit that they have 2 teams, one for offence, one for defense, and they are so talented that only 2 of them can kick the ball

  • @MrCartoonlife and a specials team as well.

  • @UHtiger they are so unfit, nfl has like one guy that can run kind of fast, and then a hole row of fat guys, look up bryan habana for fast :)

  • REAL MEN PLAY FOOTBAL NOT RUGBY

  • @TheARMAProductions your absolutely right

    - from an american

  • if you need to wear protection when you are playing a man sport, you should consider playing soccer.

according to science stats american football does get bigger impact than rugby from a tackle. I personally enjoy rugby more because of the none-stopping game play is generally more entertaining (why stop?). I believe both sports have equally good players, and each players are unique in different skills.

  • @TheARMAProductions So marathon runners are superior athletes to sprinters?

  • @TheARMAProductions If he was talking about Black Americans, then he's wrong. The strongest, biggest bone structured people on earth are Samoans, Tongans and other islanders, and rugby is full of them. They dominate contact sport, and are a lot more powerful than Africans/Black Americans.

  • For eg, in rugby our FORWARS(biggest) guys, weigh around 120-130 kg, are 2.1m tall, but they can run 20 miles and run 100m in under 11 seconds........ BALANCE. The biggest NFL players are 2.15m and weigh 160kg, but they cant run 2 miles and cant run the 100m in 15 seconds, SPECIALIZED IN SIZE AND POWER!!!! these sports cannot be compared. we are wasting our time peoples!

  • Its clear if you pitch the BEST of a certain category against each other, then NFL wins, but if you were to play the person as a whole vs each other, Rugby would win FAR.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheARMAProductions I couldnt agree with you more

  • @TheARMAProductions Jonah Lomu is considered the best athlete to ever play rugby. There are guys with similar stats as him get drafted nearly every year in the NFL.

  • @TheARMAProductions Tell me ONE that runs under a 10 second 100m? The NFL has the best athletes in the world. Tell me rugby players that are better athletes then Patrick Willis,Mario Williams, Julius Peppers, Chris Johnson,Ndamukon Su, Haloti Nata (was offered to play with many top rugby clubs) Adrian Peterson,Vernon Davis, Brian Orakpo, the list goes on. watch?v=fGUc3UL64f0 The NFL is full of freaks of nature. Many that would be world class sprinters and some Olympic weightlifters.

  • C'mon guys stop defending rugby its just as much of a dud game as nfl so they both lose, rugby league is the game that should be played.

Probably Rugby beats nfl though just because its more similar to rugby league than nfl is.

  • @TheARMAProductions Yeah i realised that after going through all the comments but cbf to change it hahah

  • @TheARMAProductions In all respects NFL is a tough sport but it would not revolutionise rugby at all. Lets say a line backer playing Rugby. Their only strong they have no natural fitness for a game in rugby. You're running backs and wide receivers are bloody quick but they have no ability in tackling a player or a kicking or passing game. All they could play is wing or if their lucky, centre or fullback

These players would become rugby stars but in no way would they revolutionise this sport

  • I play both sports. Rugby hits harder to be honest. But AF, you need to use brain to play. AF is more tiring than rugby. I play as a wideout. Those running and stopping. It's worst than rugby when you only run when you got the ball. When it comes to hit, rugby hurts more.

  • i played both and im sorry to say rugby is a pussy sport

  • @72element You're not serious are you?

  • @72element Go to New Zealand and play one of their teams then

  • rugby is unnecessarily brutal, no protection and just going out there to do ridiculous unsupervised hits and stomp on players. football is similar just that if we know were doing physical sports we wear helmets and pads so we don't get hit and become a vegetable and its more tactical, everyone has a part to do and has to be excellent at it, so what if its start stop game, every play is a move to gain territory and you regroup and decide a more effective route to get the ball across the field.

  • @ruffsocks no protection? unsupervised? grow a dick mate

  • @pnarules lolol our sports fans actually care if their players get hurt, call me crazy #FirstWorldProblems

  • @ruffsocks LOL your fans say its a manly sport? tights, helmets and pads...yeh i dont know. Our players dont get hurt we just get up brush it off and play on

  • @pnarules but you guys wear booty shorts...okay

  • @ruffsocks wow..booty shorts? lmaoo

  • @pnarules Yes, "Daisy Duke", Booty Shorts! That haven't been worn by men in the US since the mid 80's

  • @pnarules lol you tell me, helmets > booty shorts

  • @ruffsocks dude..tights? pads? in a contact sport? you may as well wear skirts too.

  • @TheARMAProductions ok like it has been said all the great black American boxers are now back up tight ends in the NFL, everybody plays football now they don't box, but historically check who's the greatest boxers ever it's black Americans. I don't know if you've ever heard of Sugar Ray Robinson, but look him up he's considered the greatest boxer ever. Also you named a shit load of sports that black Americans don't play like snooker, rugby etc. but if they did they'd dominate.. that was my point

  • A Rugby Tackle Hurts ALOT More Than Watching It

  • @TheARMAProductions No, not all American's DNA. Just African Americans, it's basically a legacy of slavery. Thats why they are the greatest at Baseball, basketball, football, boxing, track, tiger woods in golf, williams sisters in tennis, now they are about to take over MMA (see Jon Bones Jones). Even look at Phil Ivey in poker, probably the greatest poker player ever.

  • @Epimpin101 hahaha I thought Puerto Ricans owned Baseball and the Jamaicans owned track while islanders r starting to take over the NFL and Russians took over the boxing ring, lol tennis is dominated by the europeans and pokers not a sport its a card game, golf now has a bad named coz of tiger woods and MMA has a mexican heavy weight champ. I'll give u basketball coz MJ has no equal.

  • @GUSMAN59 it's well known that black americans stopped playing baseball, thats why MLB has set up programs to try to get them back, but the all time greats are mostly black Willie Mays, Satchel Paige, Hank Aaron etc, look historically how many medals black americans have won in track compared to jamaicans its not even close. Barley any play tennis or golf but combined they won 27 tennis grandslam titles, and 14 golf majors. And just wait a few years for MMA.

  • @TheARMAProductions No, the big reason is America didn't rape 1/2 the world and force our sports on them like England did, Lets be real thats why you play Rugby because you are still England's biatch.

  • @TheARMAProductions THE ONLY THING???? UMMMM WHAT ABOUT BREAKING TACKLES FOR A MONSTER GAIN? HOW ABOUT A FUMBLE? 20 FREAKIN GUYS FIGHT FOR THE BALL AT THE BOTTOM OF THAT DAMN PILE AND WHAT ABOUT TOUCHDOWNS? OR MMAYBE SEEING A GUY COMMING UP IN THE CLUTCH ON A CRITICAL 4TH DOWN PASS? AND HOW CAN YOU FORGET ABOUT THE PUNT/KICK RETURNS?

AND MY FAV THE HAIL MARY!

ROTFL WHEN I THINK ABOUT OR SEE RUGBY IT LOOKS MORE LIKE PRO BACKYARD FOOTBALL XD

  • @boot358 That "fumble" happens in rugby all the time, it's called a "ruck", I suspect you know little about rugby, which is fine, but please don't rise to the trolls. Both games are fucking mental, in different ways. They're both contact sports, and have a similar shaped ball and that's about where the similarities end.

  • You can't really compare these two sports its like comparing apples and pears, they might look similar but there both pretty different. They require different skills sets that are unique to their sport. As an American who is a big rugby and NFL fan and is currently having a blast at the rwc, rugby is a thinking mans game that requires more field vision and stamia, while the skills in the NFL are specialized to a position, like quarterbacks throwing, wrs catching, etc. Its just a different game

  • @TheARMAProductions ah, the world does play American football

  • @beallhigh26 Ah, the world doesn't play NFL. Sorry mate. There are a handful of tiny teams in Europe which gets zero coverage. There are, by contrast a little over a 110 rugby playing nations listed with the IRB and a "world cup" which is held every four years, of which the Americans are competing in at the moment. It's hard to argue against the fact that rugby is a far more global game. I like NFL, don't get me wrong, but it's only enormous in the US.

  • @Jude2Mahoney there are leagues in Finland, Sweden, Japan, France, England and Spain(and those are only the ones i know off the top of my head), AND there is a world cup style tournament held every year. stay ignorant.

  • remember its not about which is tougher but what is the better sport which is football

  • the one thing is that nfl players wear so much padding and rugby players dont. with all the nfl padding on u could get hit by a truck and live

  • Haha i love how half of the rugby ones were of Jonah Lomu (sp?!). What an absolute legend he was...he fucking abused rugby teams.

  • American football is boring and is a sissy sport, rugby is a sport of men without fear of pain or shock

  • fuck off i watch both and nfl players are no where near as hardy as rugby players. as soon as u get tyackeled in football thats it u get a break, there no breakdown and phisical contest, rugby loose forwards work a hell of a lot harder then linebackers and football backs arent as big, rugby a game of strength and endurance and an arm wrestle in so many aspects. watch a game

  • @pagan5peasant

American Football is about strategy. Seeing as to how you don't play it, shut the fuck up.

  • hey you all that are arguing whos tougher, shut up its 2 completely different games that the people that play are built for, like in American football we have tall not as big people that are wide recievers, we have lineman that are 300+ its different. im sure if our NFL players were trained for Rugby they could be just as good.

  • rugby players would get killed because american football players are so much bigger and stronger

  • @joeyleondarides umm, no. you are obviously uneducated in the sport of rugby, they are just as big, if not bigger than american football players. and they are definatly stronger. Take off the pads and take a hit like a real man

  • @joeyleondarides football players are weak need protection to play rugby players NOT believe that if faced by football players would come out crying in their mothers' skirts

  • Just amazing still american football is kinda better but both are cool ! just can't love smashing other people lol :D please the song !?!? thank you :P

  • 2:50 my man freeney

  • you can argue all you want about which sport is better, it's gonna come down to where your from. but the one thing I guarantee is that NFL players could dominate rugby way easier than Rugby players could dominate NFL. The NFL athletes are probably the best athletes in the world, the speed and athletic ability would revolutionize the game of rugby in no time if NFL players learned rugby from childhood.

  • @Epimpin101 How can you possibly know that when you know virtually nothing about rugby/other world sports? It's as someone else said to you that you seem to believe that US DNA is somehow inherently superior to the entire rest of the worlds? I'm sure a lot/most/all NFL guys if given the chance to change up their skill set to play rugby would do well and "perhaps" vice versa, making huge generalisations about "the worlds best athletes" is not accurate however.

  • @Epimpin101 /watch?v=ha57sEivh8k

watch how "the best athletes in the world" handle playing rugby

  • NFL: Shoulder Pads Knee Pads Mouth Guard Shin Guards Chin Pads Helmet Leg Pads Ass Pads And Pads With Wings

    Rugby: Mouth Guard Thats it

  • two things i am tired of hearing from rugby fans is 1. we are so much tougher cause we don't wear pads. seriously? i play backyard football without pads but get me out there with them and i will hit 10 times harder. 2. chabal would dominate any nfl player. WOW i have seen one tackle they always show by this guy and the other guy got hurt because his head whiplashed into the ground nothing from the hit...

  • @Nickkieg6 "i play backyard football without pads but get me out there with them and i will hit 10 times harder"

One of the most telling statements you could make, rugby players from the major playing nations dont need pads to hit full force, they grow up without the pads and become accustomed to go all in without them.

  • @UHtiger i don't think you understand have you ever put on the pads of football? probably not that is 20 pounds you did not have that is a helmet that broke my leg from a chop block that is shoulder pads that hit ribs which are not covered whatsoever... yes they protect but trust me there a big weapon also... i have played rugby love the sport... but i am tired of every rugby guy saying the same reason why they hate american football.

  • @Nickkieg6 Oh, so now you've played rugby. In the last comment it was backyard football. Someones talking out their arse me thinks.

  • @UHtiger yes i am italian my cousin played for a team we used to get games all the time but im from america i prefer american football... youtube.com/watch?v=ZcVBInSvXRk&feature=related this will show why you need pads for football

  • @Nickkieg6 Horse shit, if you'd have played rugby you would have said that in your first comment, not that you'd played "back yard" football.

  • @Nickkieg6 chabal is a shit player, wearing pads means you cant feel the hit at all, when you get dicked in a rugby match you know about it and besides, football is played diffrently, in rugby you are going to get tackled no matter how good you are whatever your position, football has people who dont get tackled as much in and like i said...wearing pads

  • @kerouac50 Respective AF position's size, speed, and strength have morphed and evolved over the last 120 yrs, to take avantage of changing rules and trends, but more importantly to gain strategic advantage and create mismatches. Btw, the current best player in AF is QB Tom Brady 6'4 225lb (102kg), who coincidentally destroyed the Miami Dolphins last night.

  • @kerouac50 To answer your question, No. I just listed a few of the 100's of AF player's who's skills match or beat Lomu's, their actually "tiny" compared to Linemen. Each position in AF requires different sizes and skill sets, Linemen average 6'5 315lb (143kg), Cornerbacks 6'0 200lb (91kg), Quarterbacks 6'4 220lb, Linebackers 6'3 255lb (116kg) etc.

  • clearly not everyoen from each sport could play the other, granted some football stars might be able to handle pro rugby i think it would be a much easier transition for a star rugby player like alesana tuilagi to play pro football

  • the fact rugby players use fuck all protection says it all really.average rugby player versus average american football player, the american would get destroyed everytime! rugby is ten times more popular sport. real men watch it! and respect it

  • i would run at anything with all the PROTECTIVE gear american footballers waer but youv got to have real confidence and skill to do it without any helmet on enough said

  • @XxjoboboroxX Lol equipment in football is more of a weapon. Try going helmet to helmet with someone. Shit hurts

  • They are both great sports so everybody shut up.

  • @mrfwest rugby players have to play BOTH offence and defence. They dont get breaks between plays, its constant work... In nfl you just hit the guy. In rugby theres rules about tackling.much more skilled. Rugby players could slot into an American football team so much easier than A.Football players could slot into a rugby team. Its a much more skilled sport and the players are more all round athletes

  • Yay for Football... Wait! what am i saying! I don't really care... Test results always are the thing yay for football!.... again O.o

  • haha cant waith for australia to smash usa in the world cup in september, no helmets allowed.

  • @kirbsta23 rugby is a sport that 99.9997% of America never played. its like Australia playing American football, pointless. matter of fact i think the unknown American team ( unknown to their own country ) would still come close

  • @mrfwest LOL 99.9997%? I bet the played football without pads(thats because they dont think it was dangerous to be playing football without pads)

  • @2222person2222 wait say that agian....

and yes i think 99.997% is and accurate number. maybe 99.675%

  • @mrfwest Yeah australia playing american football would be pointless, coz its a pointless game. If we did play it i bet we would do it no pads and no helmets. USA will be lucky if the wallabies score no more than 60 agianst them.

  • @kirbsta23 wrong. Australia already tried playing american football and they didn't play without pad or win aginst the usa team. i seriously doubt you would play american football without helmets. its a different nature game. you wouldn't run full speed, head first in to another person.

rugby is a simple game without strategies, kid in America play better games than that

  • @mrfwest OMFG u simple minded american fuck, Rugby players run head on tackle head on they constently get stomped while on the ground there is no more violent sport out there aside from fighting. just coz u have a different ball and different rules has nothing to do with the tackles they are the same only difference is u r to pussy to do it with out pads. Watch the world cup, watch australia vs usa watch us FUCK u up then reply honeslty on wat u think is a more physical sport!

  • @kirbsta23 wrong. the different rule have everything to do with tackles. thats why the nfl has more people getting concussed, paralyzed, broken bones, and ripped muscles. the level of injuries in rugby pale in comparison to the one in football.

" u r to pussy to do it with out pads. " wrong i played football yesterday without pads. before pads & helmets people died (1 per week ) people got paralyzed ( 3 times a week )

  • @mrfwest LOL implying you kow anything about rugby OR football lol your moms a simple game called flick the bean. your dad played and sadly lost...you where born

  • @kirbsta23 Just for you! /watch?v=-pazNLkgeD0 . Enjoy!

  • If you have a vagina, play for the NFL.

If you have testicles play rugby.

  • Im American - But grown up over seas so I played rugby. This summer I went to Penn State Rugby Camp (An AMAZING CAMP) and ended up breaking an American football players collar bone because he was trying to use all his force to knock me over (didn't work so well without shoulder pads.) As a Rugby player, we do this EVERY GAME, just we know what we're doing and aren't mindless zombies about it.

  • The reason American footballers use so much protection is because when Americans started to play their form of Rugby football so many players were dying. In 1908 alone, 30 people were killed. The American rules led to more intense tackles and desperate drives.

  • @ajre82 American footballers were dying back then because they couldn't take a hit hahaha

  • @physik91

Well, I guess if your players are weaker and smaller, the hits would be easier to take.

  • i wouldent call those nfl players pussys because they will rip you apart and i wouldent call rugby players pussy cuz they will smack you so if you dont play the game and just talk on here do us all a favor and SHUT THE FUCK UP!!

  • PI wouldnt call NFL players pussies weak or cowards in the least but I reckon Rugby Union is probably the toughest game and builds the toughest players out of all the sports in the world and thats not just a bias you just gotta look at the game its hard to argue that its not

  • Wow.. This argument is about as lame as Xbox vs Ps3. They are both a mans game (unlike soccer. Which is the number one sport in the u.k. Which were rugby originated from). Anyways, Rugby guys are probably tougher but more retarded becuase they don't protect themselves (I wouldn't necessarily want to be paralyzed from a sport.... would you?). But football players arent probably as tough but way smarter because they were protective gear so they dont get paralyzed from a sport.

  • @TheBroncos84 Never played rugby have you? It shows. If you knew anything about rugby, you would know they do protect themselves. You learn how to protect yourself in the ruck, and when mauling and the forwards know how to scrum safely. No sport is ever 100% safe, but you clearly don't know much about rugby if you think they don't protect themselves.

  • to watch Rugby union, to play League and union, league is a much harder and brutal game but is a rather boring game to watch in the sense of fluidness

  • @DrErcadoog Rugby league is a much harder game? Please tell me that's a joke?
