I think this is, like, a filmmaker's film, ya know? Something that other filmmakers would totally drool over, but the common cinemagoer probably just doesn't get. There are scenes in here that are so beautifully done they bring tears to my eyes...

I love how as soon as they come through the elevator, it is all one angle, imagine how hard it was to direct something like that.

@15milesroadcrew Actually they shot this scene over a long period of time. They edited it all together to make it look like one long shot. That just shows how awesome Richard Kelly and the editor are to make the audience believe it is one long shot.

Southland tales didnt really make much sense.the soundtrack was amazing though.Muse,radiohead,the killers,Pixies...all great bands.

There is a book for southland tales that serves as a prequel too the movie, should answer most of your questions. If it doesnt than your probubly just too dumb to figure it out. =)
