  • Just discovered this, great stuff. It reminds me of my love for the Latin language (love at first sight), and the side comment on shall vs. will (2:45) reminds me of how Latin can often inform one of one's native language. avē atque valē!

  • How in the world did anyone figure all of this out from just reading Latin texts? I'm referring to all of your videos prior to and including this one. It's incredibly complex.

  • @electronicwoe There's a long history of grammatical investigation, stretching even so far back into classical times, especially with the grammarian Quintilian. Plus, learning Latin has more or less happened without a break since the "fall" of Rome. Ancient Greek is a much different issue, with knowledge of that language essentially lost to Western Europe in the Middle Ages until just before the Renaissance.
