@srtb1 No! He'eia Bay in Keauhou, Kona on the Big Island. Kalakaua lived just down Ali'i Drive from there, and this is where he went for the romantic interlude, alluded to in the song...a pretty little bay, immediately north of Keauhou Bay...look at CYRIL PAHINUI's music videos for this song, you can recognize it from those scenes.

Thank you sooooooooo much for posting this. My husband and I celebrated our 10 yr wedding anniversary this summer in Maui and heard this song driving back to the airport. This song brings back such beautiful images of Maui!
