1955 - I was 12. Bought the original Eldorados album new. Lost the record but still have the album cover. There was later a Japanese re-issue with the same cover. Another notable from that year was The Great Pretender by The Platters. I loved every song on their debut album even though it wasn't rock.. Long live the ORIGINAL rock and roll. Rest in eternal peace never to be forgotten, Alan Freed.
