You cannot compare Logitech speakers with real speaker brands. They're good for low end, budget, low quality but powerful sound. But what good is that power if it sounds shit? Thats the thing its no good. Get this: there is a Yamaha YHT-292 VS a Logitech Z-2300, Z2300's have 120W's, YHT's have 100W's, the yamahas had much better bass response, quality, low's, all round quality. Logitechs, muddy bass, not so good bass response, non comparable, but they were powerful. Bad sound quality or power?

2) What is the drivers size?

3) How low does it go? (As in hertz)

4) And would you recommend it for a large room?

lol logitechs are fantastic COMPUTER speakers. they're probably the best COMPUTER speakers out there. but it is some generic mass made junk with the easiest to get thx specification. all thx looks at with COMPUTER speakers is how loud they go, and if they go mildly low. the satelites sound like screechy 2.5 inch crap because they ARE schreechy 2.5 in crap. the 10in woofer is awesome for those that like boomy bass. and you cant blame them, until they hear the genuine high end.

This BIC is not even close to the very good units found around $500.

HSU,SVS and eD makes subs around $500 that steamroll this toy.

And if you want real power DIY is the way to go, you want to see real subs...check my clips.

this sub is good for the money but not near SVS. H1shman down below is a fucking jew. Not all subs are "Chinese shit" there bro. SVS and ED hand make their subs, every piece of it even down to the driver. And there made in the "good ol US of A", not some sweat shot you speak of. Also almost every speaker has THX sound certified badges now, you're speakers are probably shitty.

powered subwoofers are chinese shit. they put OK speakers in them but the amps blow at 80 if not 70 percent. I have over 10 grand into my system and i have no powered speakers. Buy a parasound 250 rms a channle amp and buy some great speakers. I have all MK's with the THX sound certified badges. Theve sounded great for over 15 years. To bad they went out of business b/c they were accually made in the US not fucking sweat shops. oh and nice video

Logitech z-5500 is ok for beginners! i've just sold mine.. the sound was pretty clean because i had a clean source, but i didnt really get a good picture of the sound. I would recommend logitech for the beginners, but dali / klipsch / Svs / B&W.. Bic Acoustech H-100 Home Theater Sub is also a very good sub! nice video

You're retarded. I've owned a 5500 logicrap before and it does not compare.

Also just because there is distortion in this video doesn't mean it's the sub, its the camera recording it.

Seriously read on AVS forums about this sub and it really is amazing value and blows other products out of the water.

I put this up against my roommates 10" Velodyne (which already is leagues above the 5500) and the H100 is much better.

That's a crappy sub dude... i've saw it once displayed at Harvey Norman, and IMO, garbage.. you cannot compare this with a real HT sub, this sub distorts like hell.

@GypsyGhost The Z5500 bass module is a PO$ in the subwoofer realm. Try a SVS Ultra,JL f113 or Paradigm Signature 25 real subs with serious output where the PO$ Z5500 has no output and adds more coloration than clean output.

Then take a wall of Maelstrom-X and LMS Ultra and blow all these away.

People who brag about the PO$ Logitech toys for little boys are funny peons who do not know how funny they are!

@iloveaxxo For F sake go watch the clip with subs I posted.I it you can see 16 subs part of the front array. Today I have 16 front,16back and four units on the right side.

As to lying, sorry I am not a politician or a PR person. I listen at quite low levels. The sub array can bring me down to 4hz at realistic output levels. Not to listen at over 140dB.

Logitech sub is made by better materials! z5500 has THX certification,Dolby Digital pro logic 2 and DTS! and Wattage means realy lot in subwoofer! Logitech is much better than this peace off shit sub!

Are you serious? This sub is designed by Dr. Hsu, Logitech is computer grade garbage. Your listening position is a chair in your moms basement in front of your commodore 64. The h-100 is designed for real HT use. It actually fills a large vaulted room.

i am serious and i watch movies with my system and listen music in my big room from house i live and people who live next my house can hear my music very well inside their houses too, and my house walls shake so much than pictures cant keep their places... Big deal, anyone can turn their music loud. I can hear my Logitech Z-2200 system from the other end of my 100ft backyard, and I still think that they're budget speakers. If you had the privilege to audtion a reference level subwoofer, you would see what we're talking about. Bass so low that you're no longer able to hear it. Impact so powerful it's truly frightening. Clarity and accuracy true to the master recording.. None of this is found in your $300 system, lol.
