I see both good and bad in him. The idea he is talking about of taxing derivatives and financial instruments as opposed to regressive taxes aimed at the lower and middle classes is not bad. He is good at analyzing but not good at prediction (like many people). However, he did see Obama for what he was at an early point.

His analysis of the 1929 crash, for example, is true when he conveys the connections to the Bank of England, but ignores the state interventions that made it worse and claims "laissez-faire" was to blame. Typical of history guys with no education in economics to make such assumptions. The REALITY, is that is WAS the New Deal that prolonged the Depression. Tarpley's "analysis" is convoluted and only half-right.
