and i'd rather all the main event contests to be on oahu then on kauai..i'd be pretty pissed if they held national and international contests on kauai..enjoy the heavy crowds though

These are nice waves for Kauai. No offense to anyone but Kauai for the most part has pretty shitty waves. Oahu has wayy better surf and waves that are much heavier than the ones on Kauai. But these are nice.

Kauai has great waves you just need to know where they are. A lot of secret spots and way less crowded

you have absolutely no idea what your talking about 94hawaiigrown...if you think these waves"are nice for kauai" then you have no clue what kauai has. I'd throw down 1,000 dollars that kauai has the heaviest wave in Hawaii..Kauai has the most underground surf spots in Hawaii cause the locals tell camera men to get out of our spots so the whole world doesn't know about our spots and thats why we have the least crowds...Oahu has waves but crowded aye? we have waves but uncrowded.

I'd take you up on that bet, i wouldn't be suprised if you have some pretty heavy waves. But you can't compare to Waimea and Pipe, those waves are unbelievably heavy when its pumping. Thats cool and all that you have all the "underground" spots but as i told someone else through i private message, only the well known spots make front page.

and i take no offense to your opinion cause I know for a fact that kauai waves are not shitty, there are pros out there that tell me all the time how awesome it is to surf kauai and its uncrowded spots. Tons of pro bodyboarders and surfers come from kauai and they are definitely not surfing shitty waves here I can tell you that.

@94hawaiigrown if that was true den i wouldn't be seeing pros all the time...but the fact is i see pro surfers almost every big swell..the last big west swell i was talking to kelly slater and he was telling me how awesome it is to surf kauai.

If i was famous i would go to a place where there wouldn't be someone trying to take my photo every 5 seconds. And if Kauai is all that you all are claiming it is to be. Than Kauai is where i would go.

PS. if the waves are so great than why are all the big contests held on Oahu?

and 3-4 Heroins (on the south side) was actually heavier.
