This band is lack of showmanship except for the singer. They don't headbang and their movement is not synchronize with the songs. Every band can play music but it's their showmanship which differentiate them from the others. The singer however, although he's a screamer but his attitude is right for this kind of music. They way they perfrom, I wouldn't headbang to their songs either.

The drummer is the guy who lead the rythm of the music in The Crimson, so if he wants to sing slowly, all the band will follow him because he will do a lower rythm, that's all.

It was what set them apart at their beginning and once it didnt, and other bands started, they changed. Before waking the fallen came out Shadows already wanted to do a 100% singing album after it. They wanted to focus on making their music the best music they could. Not a big trivium fan so i cant comment on that but there you go
@deystist Actually... he did have vocal surgery because he screwed his voice up while on tour promoting Waking The Fallen. He did all inhale screams on that album. I can tell you right now, since i do vocals, that doing inhales that much will most definitely destroy your voice. Its why no vocal coach recommends you do it. Its also the reason why his voice is so hoarse now and why hes able to hit such raspy notes whilst singing, with ease. And why his screams were so weak on City of Evil songs.
He has the same scream as the edited versions, to my ears. His singing voice ain't that great. Brandon's voice isn't as good as I would have hoped, but what can you do?

Sure is hard to sing while drumming. I'm having a hard just playing guitar and singing depending on the song. But I think Brandon made a good job. The only drummer that I think sing flawless while drumming is The Rev that guy is just insane :P

i wonder if there pitch is off because the guitars sound like ther in a lower tuning so in my band we drop'd to c and we played in a higher tuning a couple times and it was a horrible outcome kinda like this im proly wrong but its a thought and it could be right but mabby wrong i dono it was a thought lol but hell this band still kicks ass
