@jahluva I did say it was an odd up mixed accent. If people like it then so be it....each to their own. People like different things and that is the beauty of mankind. I am sure that most people know that this isn't her song. Remember where the royalities go to...the original artist!!
I don't know how people think this is good. She steals awesome songs from black reggae artisit, and has the nerve to sing them and put them on an album..like it's her work! Terrible..And U still can';t sing Sinead!

@jahluva2000 I quite agree Buju banton'svoice is unique. this just does not sound right. She needs to get some origionality. Big up Buju, Raggamuffin Soldier!!. Load 'em up Gargamel !!!!!!!!
growin up the irish and jamaicans immigrants always lived in the same areas and were hated by the english. Seems natural 4 her to know that struggle and feel bujus lyrics. I like it! Odd hearin an irish jamaican accent though!!

@UMKOZI Yes i am very familiar with it. I've been bumpin that album for like 15 years now. I only recently became aware that Sinead had a version of this song, and I wondered who did the original, her or Buju?
@ofromva I think the title of her Album is Throw Down Your Arms and covers Reggae songs as she said it saved her life I think it's about two or three years old. I like it!
"It's a competitive world for low budget people, spending a dime while earning a nickle ,with no regard to who it may tickle." I dont know why,but I sing along to those lyrics every time. Throw down your arms is the best album I have heard in a while.Hands down.
this was one of the best irish albums ever realeased, and once again a classic slips below the irish radar. I have made it my business to spread the beauty that this collection is. Sinead....top marks girl!!
@FrankLeach I'm not sure i would call it an 'Irish' album - Sure Sinead is Irish but at least 5 of the songs on that album were originally by 'Burning Spear' and (as far as I can tell) the rest are cover versions as well.
@FrankLeach Agreed this album is awesome-not Irish content, though she is- these are JA songs. Yet so few seem to know it! I have this on rotation for years. Sinead's talent is boundless.
i hope u all know, this is a cover of Buju Banton's song!!!!
