Congress IS NOT covered under a public option. I met yesterday morning with our local Congressman, and he is covered under a plan offered through the local BCBS plan. It is a rich plan, and anything but a plan design like the public option they want the tax payers to be under.

We should keep our system (best in the world at number 37), where the profits of the insurance companies go before the health of the insured, where 60% of foreclosures are due to unpayable medical bills, where the pharma corporations dictate the prices (charging $50 for a $2 pill), where 48 million are uninsured, where 22,000/year die from no coverage. 1.  The point of this ad is that even IF your hospital is covered, the insurance companies can and do find a way to drop you, sticking you with the bills despite the agreement that you "buy into." Also, you are acknowledging that a bureaucrat is still choosing which doctors and hospitals you can go to even in the wonderful world of private insurance. There's no difference if the govt does it.
