Obviously you've never dealt with Magellan's "tech support". They were rude, incapable / unwilling or even attempt a meaningful resolution, and even outright refused to issue an RMA saying it must be user error or misconfiguration. Uh, yeah... Problem is Magellan's support is outsourced offshore and the reps and customer service experience really is "that bad".
I did eventually get it repaired under warranty but it took literally weeks via countless emails and phone calls to push it that far. The new unit works adequately but still is far from stellar and I definitely would NOT recommend it. Had you bothered to actually READ the "about this video" you would have known it was sent for repair.
These videos were posted to serve and document the device's symptoms so that just maybe someone else could avoid the same trouble and NOT purchase this crappy product. From looking over other product reviews out there I am by far not alone in experiencing the exact same phenomenon with the 3000T. Get a life. Nobody forced you to watch the videos. You wouldn't happen to be a Magellan employee, would you?
