  • Id it me or was that an unusual approach.. for a second I thought it was Kai Tak.. I know what you mean when you think RAM you would always think 747 as they have one but they really don't.. it's confusing.. lol

  • @hmasurg this is a common approach when runway 13L is used for arrivals, the 13R approach is just as harrowing (like Kaitak) because it's purpose is to maintain proper distance and separation from LaGuardia air traffic. If you look at the Alitalia 747 approaching 13L that is the dead-on view of how it looks up close. It's done everyday with prevailing winds.
