saber alter is dark saber from the heaven's feel route of the visual novel. i think lily saber is just an alternate costume for saber, but im not sure

easy combo = less damage

hard combo = more damage

I like Melty Blood, but I like this game more because... it's F/SN.

Shoot me if you like, but I didn't get the chance to complete Tsukihime yet. And having no voices makes it hard to get into the feeling of it.

And the combos... are they easy to do? UBW takes awhile to complete, and you need full bars to do those other big ones.

Frankly, to me, Saber died halfway through the route. I had no problem with Dark Saber, or the awesome way she was beaten...but then the game just had to hit me with that damned "Save Saber/Bring the Dagger Down" option. Doing the right thing was painful... ;_;

What's wrong with juggles? That's what makes this game look fun, unlike those Street Fighter games which are so plain.

And those juggles don't last forever. At most, you can deal 1 1/2 bar of life.

Nothing's wrong with juggles except when they're particulary boring juggles. I like Lancer's loops in Codes but Dark Saber's combos just look incredibly dull past the OHHHH DARK STUFF.

Bazz looks far more interesting.

And there are full health combos in this game, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Tbh I only played SFAlpha3 for the PS1, and I don't know how much more improved it can get. The only thing I liked was the super moves. I even looked at those arcade tournaments, and it looked extremely boring to me.

And I didn't see a full health combo yet for this game.

If Dark Saber's combos look dull to you, then Saber's combos must look horribly boring. I don't find them to be dull at all.

Besides, Dark Saber is suppose to have "OHHHH DARK STUFF" attacks. I mean, she's DARK Saber.

Having Dark attacks isn't the point, it's more that they're just standard, boring attacks with flashy dark matter flowing out of it, nothing creative.

Oh quite significantly. Saber uses a sword but does she use it identically to Assassin? No.

That doesn't really negate it at all. Dark Saber could have easily have been less orientated around her sword directly and more about extended range and zoning, or adding or being a ground combo character instead of a juggle one.

And the VN of FSN doesn't show Dark Saber doing anything you described.

Obviously, but Dark Saber primarily uses her sword one handed, if you'll note, whilst Saber sticks to using two hands.

Just because it's the same type doesn't mean it has to be used in the same way. I wasn't even initially picking at how they were USING the swords as opposed to what they were doing period.

And the VN doesn't even show Dark Saber fighting except once against Rider and in that we see barely 30 seconds of it before it cuts to the Rho Aius noble phantasm clash.

I am mere presenting possibilities, they don't HAVE to be used, but there is no reason why they couldn't try something different and less generic.

Why don't you create ideas for some attacks for Dark Saber then? They're generous to even make Dark Saber a separate character to Saber. For all we know, they could have just added Dark Saber as an alternate costume, but no.

I mean, what did you expect? Super 50 slash combos that cause instant KOs or something with a sword that's generally used with two hands?

You can wish for more, but it'll never happen anyways. And this game is still awesome enough to buy.

I've already just MADE some, but they'll never get taken into account obviously. I can't understand why you'd say this is "generous" when the game is mediocre at best (the only reason most people will play it is that it's a fate fighter that isn't slow as fuck, ie fate/fake). The best things about it are the music, voice acting, and art, the game itself is blatantly broken and the combos are way too fucking long.
