Great song. I love the way it starts out so slow and moody and just builds as it goes along and then pretty much explodes at the end. I think Tina Arena has one of the best voices in the world. She's one of those singers who sounds just as perfect live (if not better). She comes across as being very grounded. She was born & raised in Australia but was a victim of tall poppy syndrome and never really made it as big as she could have. She now lives in France and has been successful there releasing a few albums sung in French. I think she's the best. She deserves all the credit she gets.

I watched her when she was a kid on our Aussie "Young Talent TIme"
One of our most under rated performers....
For myself I think its a shame, when we as a country dont recognise our home grown talent...

I am not an Aussie but this vocal talent with so much control with hightened emotion really does "kick into touch" the so talent of Beyonce and Britney Spears. I'm black and of course I love black artists but Tina Arena is the uncrowned Soul Queen. I bow to her!!!!

This song is and will always be a CLASSIC. Tina sings this with such intense passion.
The song builds and builds and when the climax comes I always have to sing along with Tina.
I always see this song as giving people the strength to actually walk away from a relationship that you know is bad for you but you just can't break free from the chains of that partner for some reason.
It has given me the courage to be single again after a long time in a relationship. The CHAINS are gone
