@SasukeTheCursed it wasn't a powerup. Pride had used alchemy to make Roy a sacrifice so his body was already falling apart and he couldnt use his shadows as much when Ed beat him, plus kimblee helped Ed overpower the weakened pride.

Father was already losing power and every remaining combat capable character was draining his stone. After al's sacrifice Ed and greed just finished him off.

@Heftymunchkin one badass fight to be sure. im not even sure who would win, pride is nearly indestructible can control shadows freely, and can eat other humonculi gaining there powers.

alucard can regenerate from nearly anything, can summon familiars and has some serious fire power with those guns of his. his vampiric powers are nothing to scoff at either

but theres no telling how each would be able to handle the others powers.

Pride is my most fav out of the seven. i found it most intresting that the strongest would be in a shape of a little boy and he can extend his attacks. I also loved how it was so unexpected for me when pride revealed himself to homunculus during the close to the ending to the series.

Olivier too. And so on. There are some that like speeches like Ed, Pride, Al, Scar, but this is one of the few series that is very realistic in that aspect.

The homunculus in this series weren't weaker but you have to remember that they couldn't kill human sacrifices. It was said multiple times that they could pretty much kill Ed, Al and the such anytime they wanted if they fought to kill them. Mustang is the only person besides Hohenheim who could fight a Homunculus straight up and win.

First of all your comparing 2 completely different manga/anime together because some powers are similar. But in retrospect, the tally is on pride, his level of shadow manipulation is basically more infinite than shikamaru. Other than that they both have the same weaknesses, exactly the same. Even with his planning, god knows how many times you have to kill pride to actually end him off. But maybe if pride had 1 life maybe, more than 1...I say pride.

@Dommy521 From what I've seen, Shikamaru has trouble with only one opponent at a time, if the opponent is skilled (Temari for example). However Pride fights with Ed, Greed, two ninjas and two chimeras at once and is still winning. I think that tells something. As he is now, no-one is able to completely defeat Pride in one on one battle, not even Hohenheim who has the philosopher's stone inside him. I think the only one who could kill him is the one who created him.

@darkice60000 Well yes, but it would require him a huge pile of flash bombs to make the light bright enough to remove all shadows for long enough to get close, since he wouldn't be able to use his abilities either. In normal daylight Pride is able to fight just fine. And he would need to kill Pride many times, so even one mistake would be fatal on his part.

Best bet for Shikamaru to defeat Pride would be to take the fight into someplace dark enough so that there's no light to provide shadows.
