When they cloned Roy Haynes, how many did they make? And will they ever run out?
And don't try and tell me they didn't... there's vids on youtube of him from 40 years ago and he hardly looks any different, except they've lost the wig.
Jaleel Shaw on Alto...love the sound, i saw these guys at a Jazz fest in Reno a few years back, Roy Haynes still rocked the house harder than anyone else could.
I'm not sure whether either Roy Haynes or Zach Hill were ever into each other's playing, but I hear some strange similarities, particularly in the kick technique. Roy rules.
Fabulous opening drum solo. Never heard anything like it before. He tried the IMPOSSIBLE and pulled it off. Roy Haynes keeps getting better and better and he was a great drummer 50 years ago. Just great to see someone keeping on doing what they love to do and do best - make music! Roy Haynes - yeeeaah!
Rhythms from West Africa meet up with the sounds of North America in the genius that is all things Roy Haynes.....thanks for sharing this treat!

Amazing. Btw get a camera where you can plug in a Lavalier mic... eg Canon or similar at B&H!
