bald eagles are acttually no longer indangered and can be flown by a general and master falconer. Also the only people with the legal right to collect bald eagle feathers are native americans. Also falconers collect the "drops," feathers from the molt, for repairing damaged feathers (this is called imping) but these feathers can only collected for this purpose.

It is the bald eagle that is the famous of all the eagles. This is a nice video and america should feel proud of having a beautiful eagle like that. I was in Canada some time ago, and whenever I was outside, there was a Bald Eagle that I assume had his nest somewhere around. I could watch him very often, he just stayed pretty close to the place. He was so gracefull!
