hmm then why buy cd's at all? you hear it on the radio..."oh that one sounds cool!" but often it's only 1 darn song that is worth listening to.

What disapoints me the most is like when they make these "soundtrack" cd's and put other crap on the cd other than the actually music from the movie...whats that all about? They did it with the one I have from MI:II and also with Watchmen.

In the movie they have some of the coolest music ever but on the freaking cd it's groups with music they think have something in relation with the movies...NOT!

I don't know if it's the Danish (where I'm from) producers or if it's worldwide they make it that way but when they make a great moviesoundtrack I want to buy it...not some other crap wich have nothing in common with the movie...

I found the Dead Presidents soundtrack interesting. Mainly because i noticed that Hip-Hop/R&B songs sampled some(if not all) of the classics on that soundtrack.

I think soundtracks blow, mainly due to select songs sometimes not being featured on the album. Soundtracks seem to boast more of a "Now That's What I Call Music" mixtape format of artists & songs, in hopes of appealing to everybody in every genre. Instead of making a tracklist of songs by artists that complement the movie in being more cohesive to the theme(s) of the movie.

Titanic is the worst, Robin Hood prince of Theives and Armagendonon is a tie for second worst, and the soundtrack for 'The Wiz' takes thrid.

That's really good, you make so much sense. Although the idlewild soundtrack is pretty good (I don't own it though, don't own any soundtracks) all the songs are previously unreleased and they were written for the film.
