  • Her style is impeccable!

  • I love her voice. Such a classy, talented person.

  • She's beautiful.

  • she rocks, too bad letterman kind focused on bill murray to break the ice

  • she's so poised and elegant, and i love her voice. it's so relaxing. it's nice to see a woman who has some modesty but is still beautiful. girls should take some lessons from her.

  • Thankfully her films are much more interesting that her interviews. I got 5 mins into this and found it to be boring and gave up.

  • @BritishArrow u r right but it's beacuse she is not the kind of person that likes to be interviewed ;)

  • A female Wes Anderson. I love them both.

  • im sorry but i think she is GORGEOUS!

  • David we don't care how "good" you are!

    (keep pressing 3)

  • I am one of the people who simply CANT understand the big fuzz about her acting ability. she wasnt any worse than a ton of young actresses who do nothing else but act.Plus she had a natural beauty and radiance, wich is something you either have or dont. for me she was the most important character in GFIII...without her it would have been like just a boring warmed up dinner from two days ago...

  • @hannahjanemeehan

I do not see this as a negative comment of mine as I think shes a hottie!

  • Yes letterman. Her name is SOFIA COPPOLA. stop wasting precious air time trying to say her name. You could be asking better questions in that period of time...

  • Many may disagree but actually liked her in Godfather 3 I thought she was beautiful and brought something special to that role

  • @embran I don't think so. She being understated and demure, I guess most people these days wouldn't know about that.

  • Lost in Translation (Sofia Coppola) > One from the Heart (Francis Ford Coppola) ... although I do love Francis' work, as well.

  • Woah, "try everything once, right?" Looks like she had a favorite song for a future movie already.

  • the movie is beautiful..... one of my favorites.....bill murray rules

  • WHY does 2004 already look like 1995?

    Fuck, time flies!

  • @jacklgf...your comment is pointless and stupid...Lost in translation is a masterpiece!!nominated for 4 oscar and won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay ..Sofia Coppola is a great director and Bill Murray was nominated for an Oscar!

  • The Reason Of Great Art is Personal Interpretation.

    Sofia's Reasons Are Obvious.

  • @inachu She's the director of the movie, she's not in it.

  • @buickcitycomplex msn fuck sofia coppola and nicholas cage. i can't believe these fuming idiots share the same blood as francis ford coppola. i mean fun, the apple sure falls far from the fuming tree. at least sofia coppola has integrity. nicholas cage is just a full blowing retard. fuming hell, thank god cage changed his name.

  • great taste in everything... especially music. bought the soundtracks to all of her films

  • you can kind of tell shes tired of talking about apocalypse now.

  • She's nice, but she almost single handedly destroyed The Godfather Part III

  • @SirPwn4lot no

  • I love this woman too

  • knockout

  • She photographs so well at certain angles. A genuinely attractive woman with a sweet demeanor. Go Sofia !!!

  • she's very boring

  • @bobo225884 she's not the rockstar you expect most 'celebrities' to be, she Actually making movies you know.

  • @bonkswa You've misunderstood me, I didn't say that she needs to be a rockstar and I didn't meant that she's boring as an actress but boring as a person... she barely said a word and answered all his questions in a 'yes' and 'no' manner. Maybe she's not like that but that's how she portrayed it here.

  • @bobo225884 i've indeed misunderstood you. Maybe she was annoyed by letterman and questions about her father en his films.

  • She looks really beautiful. A simple and understated outfit, but she is really sexy

  • 4:28 cute giggle

  • she doesnt seems to have this actress personality ...she looks a bit too shy an seems to be introvert..

  • @isilark {she doesnt seems to have this actress personality}

Hmmm, I wonder why? maybe 'cause she's not an actress?

  • lol its an old WOMAN

  • I love her work! 500 days of summer, marie-antoinette and Lost in translation are 3 of my favourite movies and I cant wait to see Somewhere!! :) I love the dreamlike feel of het films!

  • @tostierules2 What did she have to do with 500 Days of Summer?

  • @tostierules2 500 days of summer isn't a sofia coppola movie..

  • @KaitlynHooligun thank god. lol

  • BITCH RUINED GODFATHER 3!!!!!!!

  • I used to really like her but the more I know about her the more untalented I realize she is.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta What have you learned about her that has made you change your mind?

  • @1991stacy well for starters, I read both The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette: The Journey wich are the books of wich she made two films, and not only are the books better, and not only did she not convey the true essence of both works, but also her scripts, like 90% of them, were lifted DIRECTLY from the original sources. Like carbon copies. That's not script writing work, that's doing copy paste on the computer.

  • @1991stacy Also, in the case of Marie Antoinette, in the interviews, she stated that she wanted to portray Marie as a whole person, not just caricature, focusing on her private life, her emotions, etc but then she goes and makes and emotionless movie, and she ignores all the pivotal aspects of Antoinette's life that showcase her humanity and that are of focus in the book.

  • @1991stacy If you look at her films, they shine because of the amazing photography work of Lance Accord, or the amazing work of Milena Canonero, but when you look at things directly involving Sofia only, they are so lacklustre. I mean the Marie Antoinette script relies so heavely on Antonia Fraser's book, in a literal way, that she should've been given screenwriting credit. Where is Sofia's input? her interpretation of Fraser's words? it's nowhere.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta Thank-you for sharing all of that. I honestly had no idea, as I'm sure most people don't.

  • Did the kid say iPod nano?

  • I noticed how Sofia Coppola has very strong features, she has large eyes, large lips and a large nose but something about her seems so frail. She seems so soft and gentle to me like she has some form of purity. I don't know what it is about her that is so simple and gentle. I noticed her films are like that too, they may seem big and lavish but are always so gentle and quiet. Her films make me appreciate the silence we sometimes have in everyday life.

  • great director, hasn't made a bad film yet.

  • Francis Ford Coppola WAS a great director, strictly in the 70's.

Sofia Coppola is a great director. Bad actress, though.

  • beautiful woman

  • great director.

  • Great director. Terrible actress.

  • @LightStijn lol people are never gonna let her live that down

  • @LightStijn

they were mostly cameo roles, nothing significant to call it "acting" to begin with.

  • @LightStijn Technically she's not an actress. She never wanted to be.

  • @LightStijn she is not an actress, cause she does not act. She is an amazing director, this is what you should concentrate on

  • @LightStijn I agree. She said in an interview that she wished that she hadn't done Godfather 3 because she herself thinks that she's a horrible actress.

  • @LightStijn i think she was great in godfather....dunno why people keep saying she was horrible...she was beautiful and a great act...

  • @fabricioteidy Oh come on, let's face it. Her acting was terrible. It was so... empty. No life in it. I still like her as a director, though.

  • @LightStijn nah man i have to disagree....her with andy garcia was awesome...im 22 and when i saw the godfather 3 not long ago i thought she was so beautiful and a great act!!!!

much better then some out there today that people say are great!!!

i find it ridiculous that she got the worst actress prize.....bullshit!!!

she was really good for me!!

  • @fabricioteidy But would you have liked her if she wasn't beautiful?

  • @LightStijn BUT she was beautiful...lol....

  • @LightStijn She was terrible, but it kind of worked. Realistically, there are a lot of girls her age who appear lifeless.

  • @AcademyAwardsPerson Lol, that's true. But then again she had to play Al "say hello to my little friend" Pacino's daughter. A character like that is not supposed to be lifeless.

  • I like her, she's very honest and humble

  • she seems to be a very nice person and she's very talented and letterman could have been more a gentleman and help her with her shyness...

  • @gX23x what sort of things could david letterman have done? sure joke about himself more etc, but i'd like to know what else.

  • I like her lips, very kissable :P

  • she sports a tucan sam nose lol!!!!!

  • she's so beautiful, i can't believe it... ;)

  • she is really sincere. i enjoy her attitude.

  • @joshua237 Yeah thats the word I was trying to find. Sincere. She seems so gentle and sincere.
