In the andante part, be careful of where you breathe. Like, for instance, instead of breathing between two groups of sixteenth notes, try breathing after you arrive at the first sixteenth note of a group.
In the allegro parts I really like your articulation. But flutepeggyk is right--you need to play this as steadily as you can. This will be especially important when you play it with your accompanist.I really like your tone. Your lower register is strong but not harsh.
im thinking of playing this song for my school's solo and ensemble and i was just wondering...what are some tips that u can give me for practicing the presto and allegro parts faster in a short amount of time?...im a junior and i have about a month to learn this piece, and it already 1.1.12 and my contest is on 2.18.12. any ideas would be really really helpful :)
@ThePURPLE165 dont rush your self but to learn it practice it at a slow tempo then keep raising the tempo little by little and in no time u should get it :) im working on this song to :D
your playing is awesome, but your high notes are squeeky, i think that you will find it easier if you hold your flute straight (horizontaly) and not sloping, the sound that comes out is nicer and stronger when you hold the flute the right way, it is also made with a smaller effort.
the andante is a little slow, i just played a transposed version for alto sax in a national comp. and got 2nd place :( anyway, your phrases are great, but a little too much space at the breath marks, and the high notes are a little screamy ( measure 8) remember bach didnt like people changing his music, which you did, , but anyway, the presto was almost too fast, and your articulationg needs some work. and you stressed the 1st, and 4th notes of the allegro, shouldnt be that stressed. bravo!!!

Tip: Relax and don't tighten up so much with the vibrato. Very good with expression.
