  • You know how to deal with pirates? You hang their sorry ass! I would support Japan 100% if they used deadly force to protect themselves from the sea hippies. watson claims he is only attacking ships breaking the law but he can not show where they are breaking the law, he makes up his own version of the law. The factory ship needs to cut each sea fag ship in half and then ignore the mayday calls just like watson did to them. Ass pirates is what then are!

  • Stupid hippies! Do you think a few photos of a whale being processed are going to stop people from eating whale? I'm sure your dope smoking ass eats beef, pork or chicken. Have you even been to a slaughter house? Have you ever watched them process chickens? Maybe you should come around the next time I kill a hog, deer, squirrel or coon. How about the next time I go fishing and clean the fish. Maybe instead of worrying about dumb animals you could worry about the human race, your own kind.

  • It makes little political or economic sense for the japanese fleet to return to the coast of Antarctica, but their motivation has now shifted from hunting whales into refusing to surrender to the SSCS. “They will have to kill us to prevent us from intervening once again,” said Watson. “Are the Japanese people ready to take human lives in defense of this horrifically cruel and illegal slaughter of endangered and protected species of whales?" w w w. bymnews. com /news /newsDetails. php? id=88473

New season starts tonight, and i guarantee you, all the people here who post against the Sea Shepherds won't miss it... and probably not a single episode all season

  • There is NOTHING the Sea Shepherds do that is "illegal"! Therefore the use of the label "pirate" is just for fun

  • Everyone here knows they're not "real" pirates. Pirates steal and kill. The Sea Shepherds are using the current popularity of pirates as focus in their attempt to raise the awareness on what's happening in the Southern Ocean. That's all. They don't even use guns and haven't broken any laws. If they had, they all would've been arrested long ago. Their violence isn't real violence, and the money they use is from willing donation. They've never stolen anything

  • PIRATES STEAL AND KILL. How are the Sea Shepherds pirates for keeping WITHIN the laws? The whalers are the ones circumventing the laws by saying the whales are for research, and the Sea Shepherds don't use guns! How are the Shepherds pirates for cutting illgotten japanese profit?

    Who is taking home "plunder"?

  • Research my ass. Jane Goodall and Louis Leakey didn't KILL and EAT their research subjects, they didn't sell ape meat for food either.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine if whaling is sustainable - every whale species over 40 ft. long is endangered or threatened due to whaling in the past. Blue whales were almost hunted to extinction in the 1970s, AFTER the IWC was formed. If Japan's whaler lobby wants to test if that shit is sustainable with Minke whales, the easy answer is NO.

  • "pirates"?! xD rather the "jackass on sea"!!! xD

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 Lol I agree. Most people in America don't consider SSCS as "pirates" equivalent to the real pirates of Somali, nor do most people consider them terrorists. At most people will think of them as hippies, idiots, or greenies. The Terrorist label is a bit much and just pushing it

  • @rcc1111 have you seen what they do to the japanese when they are in taiji? THAT is terrorism...

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 Oh yes. Apparently filming people who are slaughtering whales are terrorism. Get real. The fat is the protesters at Taiji have not hurt anyone nor have they threatened anyone. It's actually the opposite.

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 The events happening in Taiji is not terrorism, it's a protest. The terrorist label is just being used in order to put down an argument just like the Communist label.

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 =====> "have you seen what they do to the japanese when they are in taiji? THAT is terrorism..."

No that is simply rude and socially unacceptable.

  • Cool movie.

and YES there are pirates... of compassion

  • Are the members of Sea Shepherd "Pirates"?

Yes, they are, as defined by UNCLOS.

  • I fucking love southpark

  • The International Whaling Commission allows whaling for scientific purposes. Article VIII says the Japanese must utilize all parts of the whales caught. Don't say there is a shortage of all species of whales and expect to be believed on your word. Japan is driven to do the research to prove there can be sustainable whaling for certain species. Norway kicked Watson's flaccid butt and got him jailed for 80 days. He pisses himself thinking of Norway. LOL

  • Japan is the most screwed up nation in the world....since they're killing whales, we should kill them too!!! it would make the world a bit better

  • It was said that there is 440000 to 760000 of mink whales in 1980's by IWC.

Most important thing is to know correct DATA.

  • WHALERS vs. SEASHEPHERD

    Which are pirates?

    Whalers have official licences? OK.

But as a mater of fact licences by governments have always been questionable issues!

Legalized by 'nationally-given capture-licences' (modern-day "letters of marque"), whalers use big "harpoon-canons" on modern ships nowadays.

    (see my comment Part 2)

  • Again, when canons are beeing fired (and money talks), licences don't make any difference for the victims.

Again, governments (especially those of Japan, but Norway and Iceland as well) participate on the "harvests".

Some of 'em even ridiculously keep calling such raids "scientific researches".

So now which are pirates - and which are heroes, risking their lives (beeing worth to bee supported)?

  • Why can we not eat whales?

  • whaling was banned in 1986 by the IWC (international whaling commission) because the number of whales were getting very low because of the whaling -- but a few countries like, Japan, Iceland and Norway still hunts for whales...

  • @venturafor2012 it is only banned for countrys that signed the agreement to whale but norway did not so they are legaly still alowed to but technically the japanese sign the agreement and therefore are commiting a crime at high sea and are therfore pirates but so are sea shepherd so it is really just a pirate war. but seeing as the japanese ships are registered to a nation unlike sea shepherd the japanese are legally the lesser of 2 evils

  • @manypersons that makes no sense. lol

  • NEWS!

The bow gun was discovered from the wreckage of A.G!

  • @FRX100

How cute....you still believe in Santa Claus too right ?

Now get a live and stop slaughtering whales in international waters !

  • Worng: international waters !

    True:international sea waters !

Do you Know Chinese river dolphin!

    You had ignored it!

  • @FRX100 They let the River Dolphin die off, because they said they needed a more modern symbol to represent their country. Retards!

  • yes they are , trowing acid at the japanese 3:16 and illegaly boarding their boat, and tying themselves to it the japanese have navy boats down there now. What's going to happen next

  • ARE WE BADASSES I SAID ARE WE BADASSES

now let's make their ship stinky

  • Please write the name of the Piracy song.

  • "It's a pirate's life for me"

  • Thanks You.

  • Its incredible how many self-appointed experts there are and how much time they have on their hands to sit in arrogant judgment of of the Sea Shepherds.

A few of the critics are professionals paid by the Japanese whaling industry to pollute the Internet with their blogs. Unfortunately, their atrocious English gives them away, along with the repetitive styles and recycled propaganda.

  • just like how the SS will bribe ports, (even have the capability of corrupting Austrailia's government)

but it seems SS is butt-hurt that there is opposition. Lucky for them the Japanese has no Navy, and that their fight is in a De-militarized neutral zone. If they tried this crap in Chinese waters, the Steve Irwin would have been blasted out of the water

  • Very sly. If anyone disagrees with you, they must be paid by the opposition. It's rather like saying "if you don't like Obama's policies you must be a racist!" How about this English? The Sea Shepherds and Greenpeace are committing acts of piracy on the high seas and should be blasted out of the water with great zeal. If only I had Bill Gates' money...

  • @misfitsailor "If anyone disagrees with you, they must be paid by the opposition"

I'm sorry misfit, but please don't take my quote out of context, I never said "If anyone disagrees with me". You are implying that I mean every single person who dislikes the SSCS is a paid ICR troll, that is not what I said or implied. Please take note of my this part of my friendly banter, "A FEW of the critics are professionals paid..." Did I say 'ALL' in that statement? No.

  • @rcc1111

Good point. Not every SS hater is "paid by the opposition". That's a typical straw man tactic of trolls, to put words in people's mouths. I agree, most SS haters have no connection with ICR or the Japanese Whaling Cartel - they're just dumb.

  • @susumu07 Yes I agree. I especially love the hypocritical statements created by the ICR. "These guys are pirates why don't we blast the, out of the water!". Lol the reason why no sane person would do this is because even though the SSCS advocates and embraces the pirate title, in reality what they're doing is perfectly legal. They walk along a very fine line of the law, but they never crossed that line.

  • @rcc1111

Yeah, in something like 30 years, SSCS has shut down many illegal whaling and poaching operations (they save much more than just whales!) - but in all that time they've never caused a single human fatality! They've never injured the "enemy", they actually sank whaling ships without harming a single crew member. They are a non-violent movement and most of them are vegans. All the big bloody ICR/cartel horror stories of "eco-terrorists" are a load of bull, the truth is more complex.

  • @susumu07 Yes. And I don't know where this argument of "The SSCS only target Japan" lol thats not true. The Japanese whalers who are illegally whaling are not their first target, their first targets were actually Iceland, Norway, and the Soviet Union. In fact the SSCS are currently heading to the Faroe Islands this summer to film and protest against the slaughter there
