The string section is almost identical to final fantasy 4-6 if you check out the ROM instruments, but the trumpet is a lot different. I don't like the romancing saga 2 trumpet as much as SaGa 3 or FF4 imo.

The instrumentation samples in the music sounds like Final Fantasy 4-6.

SaGa series sounds were composed by Kenji Ito.
FF series sounds were composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
I like both.
