  • Wow he didn't even grease it!!

  • My ass if they actually needed those thrust reversers... They landed at like 105 anyway... Haha

  • yup. agreed. some nose high attitude there. bit overdone. still, 'defaultyuser' above has it right. regionals are chock full of 'newbies. this could have been

( and most probably was......) the FO's leg and landing.

lol! hell, if he'd have just added power at that attitude with mains down, aircraft would probably have begun a rotation and leapt back into the air again. ( retracting Spoilers first, of course) nice observation.

  • Glad I am taking United Express operated by Skywest and not Mesa!

  • that woulda been rly ugly if the tail touched!

  • I wonder if that the pilot I had coming into Chicago last week. Did the same thing. Has a real nice soft landing but felt like the plane was straight up.

  • probably came in a little fast and tried to slow down a little bit by flaring....

  • @thecravenator42069 I really could care a less that I was a month late on it. If I see someone that has posted an irrelevant ignorant comment I''m going to correct it.

  • @thecravenator42069 Ok first you are the ignorant person here. The regional airlines aren't laid back they are just as concerned with safety as major and legacy airlines. Also airlines don't hire new pilots. I didn't realize having over a couple thousand hours flight time and being at a regional airline is considered being a "NEW" pilot. People have to start somewhere and being at a regional airline doesn't mean you are "NEW" to flying. Get your facts straight before making ignorant comments.

  • Give him a break. Nose high, yes, but he arrested the descent nicely and brought the nose down safely... It's not like it's some Mesa "problem." It was unusual, but not unsafe or uncomfortable!

  • Whats funny too is that you do have to give the pilot some slack. I have talked to many pilots who fly the CRJ jets and from what they tell you when your about to flare that motherfucker tends to drop its ass down hard, almost droppin it like it's hot. SO when they do flare beautifully then you know they have mastered flaring that CRJ. Although going from an RJ to a boeing, airbus etc. would be a bit different.

  • hey everybody just cool off your junk.. throw on your reverser and just stick a ripe banana right into your favorite ear.

  • Wow, that WAS a Large Flare, But you have to consider what it's like to land an actual jet... Don't be so quick to judge unless your're actually a pilot.

  • rookie

  • I call this.... the megaflare.

  • lol at least it was smooth

  • What matters is... EVERYBODY LIVED !!!!

  • yikes...

  • fuck you guys you try to land a crj700

  • You gotta consider the fact that this regional airlines employ recently graduated pilots. Who hasn't ever flared a bit high?- Give'im a brake!

  • if they scrape they will fix it .....with duct tape lol gotta love mesa;s quality

  • @crapper1 if the tail hits the whole tail bounces off the ground and the nose probably will bounch a couple times

  • @adamgamedude if the VSI is high enough it would do that however ive seen a small plane do the same at the local airfield tho he put a skid plate there cause he said it happens often with students

  • @crapper1 ya true

  • I'm not sure what he was thinking on that one, that was definitely too high.

  • DANG! was a kid flying that?

  • Mesa fUCKING NEEDS TO FALL OFF THE FACE OF THIS EARTH!

  • Agreed!

  • @Trout0221 What airports will you be flying into? I'll be there watching to make sure none are off.

  • @Trout0221 Why? I don't understand why you have made such a rash decision. What has Mesa done to you?!

  • @Trout0221 True... except thats SkyWest

  • @Trout0221 this isnt even a Mesa airplane. What's the reason for the Mesa bashing?

  • @Trout0221 That's not Mesa. It's SkyWest. Tail LR or MJ is Mesa. SK is SkyWest.

  • what a dumb pilot and co-pilot! (co-pilot could have stopped the drunk pilot :-)

  • ya....that was high, and his thrust reversers were open too long!

  • yeah, they're supposed to be closed at 60knots, this guy came to almost a full stop.

  • I think he was trying to make the taxiway...lol...he shouldn't have done that

  • Eppley Airfield runway 18

  • Is this at Omaha Eppley Airfield?

  • That was actually Skywest, not Mesa
