  • Haha, youi can hear the vocal :)

  • that is the creepeist picture of lars

  • @metal97100 what's so hard about the rest of the song?

  • oh dear, the drums are just shockingly bad!

  • @boomaslang lars ulrich is an awful drummer and james hetfield is a table, sure it is bad XD

  • @xxxDutchRutgerxxx Kids, this is a fail try of being a troll ;)

  • @FreakkoRock dude.. james hetfield is the table ;)

    google it or something

  • @xxxDutchRutgerxxx Yeaahh......thanks to Lou Fuckin Reed :/

  • @xxxDutchRutgerxxx the only Metallica member who is still actually amazing is kirk, the others....eeeee lets just say there ok

  • @mike9090ish kirk is awful. worst metal guitarist alive, messes up his solos every time live.

  • the beginning is fuckin awesome

  • this song is a great starting drummer song... it is medium speed and gives you a feel for every part of the drum kit. This is the first song i learned how to play xD

  • @MrCoolStoryBro101 Hey! Me too! but i´m playing bass xD (to this!)

  • @metal97100 i cant :(

  • lars <3

  • ''exit light...."

  • @TheRagingBeverlys yes. And Metallica.

  • upload by bob rock.

  • Wish this was a proper isolation of the drums. Though the tones are there it's not a proper stereo mix. Snare only on the left and kick only on the right. But at least I can hear these isolated! Love these tones.

  • This + Noise Cancelling headphones = Eargasm

  • dammit! to many long comments, i can't be bothered to read.

  • SOUND WIERD BUT I THINK ITS THE GOOD ONE... YOU CAN HEAR JAMES BACKGROUND... & ITS SOUND PRETTY MUCH LIKE ENTER SANDMAN....

  • Retarded fag below

  • Crappest thing I've ever heard. Most over-rated drummer of all time. It's unbelievable how many people are still sucked into the Metallica myth.

  • @gageless Over-rated in NOT METAL world. Under-rated in METAL world.

  • @RodHammett95 I think you mean the other way around, mate. Anyone who knows anything about metal drumming knows exactly what a sham Lars really is. It's the pop music scenesters who somehow think his reputation is "all that".

  • @gageless He isn't the most technical drummer in metal, but he's (well, he was) a very good drummer. He put energy, passion and feeling to the drums. He's a big part of the big sound of Metallica. His musical vision is awesome. He's done too much more in metal than other drummers who are very technical but they only play. I mean his drumming has something special, the magic around his music is special. I love him, and I respect him a lot, the things he's done in metal are awesome, he's a genius.

  • @RodHammett95 Wow. I can really see that you love him, so I wont bother discussing him anymore. I can only suggest that you actually go out there and look around a bit, and you'll see that Lars was really only unique on the first four Metallica albums. Let's agree to disagree, I guess.

  • @gageless that's why I love Lars, his drumming in the first 4 Metallica albums is great. In those albums, drums are a very important part of the sound, guitar is important, bass is important, vocals are important, ALL is important! (xD) in other bands the drums are only the base of the sound, nothing more.

  • There are other drummers that are very technical and etc, but they only play, there is no "magic" on their music, there is not something special in their drumming. I prefer that special drumming, with energy, passion, feeling. Other examples of that "types" of drummers are Nicko McBrain, Dave Lombardo, Nick Menza, they're great! That's the reason because I prefer Nick Menza and not Shawn Drover, for example.

  • @RodHammett95 Most metal-fans knows that Lars Ulrich suchs.

  • @Rattlepiece F u man. go lay a horse then y u here faggot

  • @Jonathan1224jc You seem upset?

  • @Rattlepiece Na u think this guys jst dissed metallica. ull pay. ull see

  • @gageless I'm a drummer myself and I know that this is one of the easiest songs you can play on drums, but it's not about technique with Metallica. They're not my favorite band but I still like them because of their simplicity acually. What they play is simple, but it still sounds good altogether.

  • @drag0nfis7 i highly doubt that out of all the songs in the world this is one of the easiest. yes its an easy song but you overexagerated that a litlle. but metallica ftw

  • @yayitsmejoe Yea, but I had to degrade my statement a little to make it clear to the troll. Ofcourse a drummer who has played for half a year/a year will still have difficulties covering them, but overall it's very simple for being Metal. That said their songs is still excellently put together

  • very boring

  • @Ironcore124 don't watch then.

  • @athf11 don't play then.

  • These drums actually sound horrific out of the mix. But so good in them!

  • @grammill i was thinking they sounded killer isolated. you can tell they spent alot of time getting the killer drum tone on this one.

  • very useful

  • Very good !

  • Don't get me wrong, but I don't really like Kick and Snare panned left and right

  • Fucking Boring Drum Pattern.

  • @thenodfather Lars was half deaf. What do you expect? lol.

  • @CaptainCocaine his half deaf?

  • @TheMorbidAsshole Yea, that's why he cranes his neck like that when he's talking to people, he's leaning in with his "good" ear. I'm sure he has decent hearing aids by now, though.

  • @thenodfather For a song like enter sandman this kind of pattern fits the song well.

Imagine, double-bass for the entire song? would sound like shit.

  • studio recording, done separately, which is why there is some vocals and even guitars heard in background

  • WHen james dies this is gonna be creepy its gonna be like his ghost coming back to sing on drum tracks

  • More Cowbell!!!!!

  • Great

  • Overrated hack confirmed.

  • @IndustryLeech lol , you needed this to confirm it ?

  • it sounds... empty

  • I think I can hear James voice =O

  • i can play the whole song, on guitar, not very difficult^^

and i use this drum cover to practise and practise, and i love it, this fuckin great song!

  • i cant doo thee soloooooooooooooooo =( loll

  • Not enough reverb.....

  • theres two things i hate 1. when i take a piss and it gets on my hands and 2. people who beg for thumbs up

  • @mcaleb1000 lol

  • The guy who set the drums together is a noob. He did it wrong and now the bass drum is on the left and the snare is on the right.. And yes, it's Rock band.. Or Guitar hero, because there is a guitar hero metallica..

  • I'm not without fault, but I think you should come in exactly at 4s and the first beat somes in straight after the first open e and a7th.

  • I would rip off my finger nails to get the same kind of kit Lars had during The Black Album, it sounds so incredible!

  • Im sure i could hear james!

  • dude you should defiantly video yourself playing this... its easy but i still cant work out how to play the start

  • i can hear james singing in the background.

  • lol u can see lars' buttcrack XD we got half moon tonite

  • @froman5700 you are gay?

  • lol u can see lars' buttcrack XD

  • why does his highat sound so weird

  • It's a bit fast though.

  • Lars Ulrich is the drummer! <3

  • Comment removed

  • The reason you can hear James singing in the background is because when they recorded the drums they all played together in the same room with a metronome, so James' singing got into the mix a little bit, because he sing really loudly and they're was drums room mics everywhere in the studio.

  • i think i still hearing james XD

  • @skorpionrazor Yeah, you can hear him about 1:33

  • @skorpionrazor You really hear James. i can hear him,too...only on the chorus part ' eeeeeeexiiiiiit lighhht'

  • whats with the strange panning?

  • @baldeeee It's not this way on the album. The panning is due to this being ripped from Rock Band or GH, one of the two.

  • hell yeah baby. i play thin in youtube and play the guitar part myself \m/

  • great! helps me practice guitar!

  • i agree, you can hear hetfield lol but its almost totally inaudible, tbh its probably bleed from ulrichs headphones

  • I love that snare.

  • @Kendallblakecruse Totally agree, compared with the trash can lid sound he has now.

  • if you hear closely you can hear James sing lol

  • @XDlosDominicans I dont hear anything

  • @TimmyFoxyeh Listen closely and turn up your volume alittle more :P

  • @XDlosDominicans Headphones, volume up so much my ears almost hurt but.... I still don't hear anything else than the drums....

  • @TimmyFoxyeh No really. You seriously got an ear problem. My volume was at like 40% and i can hear him.

  • @TimmyFoxyeh Because you're deaf!

  • @MrSuchy945 Or maybe your just imaginating?

  • @TimmyFoxyeh STFU

  • is there a version of fuel?

  • @RHCPMetallicatube Sure -> watch?v=zdsR7iHYwhw

  • @BludStatic123 loads of compression ... download this track and put it in whatever recording software you have and look at the waveform it will be fairly squashed and very close to clipping without clipping.

  • I thought there were ppl yelling on my street but it was just the vocals in the backround

  • How you got the "drums only" "bass only" of the music? Is that original or did you "dissecate" the song with some kind of software?

  • @sgtkar98 Rock Band.

  • I hear the vocals background

  • @gabor584 It's a ghost evp, lol! Seriously I hear it too and if you read the comments, we're not the only ones!

  • thumbs up if you hear james and another voices in the background :D

  • rock band > Practice Mode > Enter Sandman > Speed 90 %

    hehe! but is nice anyway

  • So Clean.

  • i matched this with the cover i did on my recording and it sounds JUST JIZZ-TASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Creeping death is fun to play ;)

  • thank you for this one

  • wtf

bass drum on left ear and snare on right ear

  • a lot of room mics and a lot of EQ !!! go lars viva Danmark

  • @RockAndRollEruption i am learning it in school i am good ( i am 12 )

  • Holy shit. Listening to this on an iTouch, I BARELY heard James singing during the opening riff when the 1/4th hats come in before the 1st verse. It sounded like the first verse again.

  • The Black Album is Ulrich's best work compared to their other albums.

  • @xsCrApPybXx And Justice For All was his best album in my opinion.

  • OMG EXTRA POWERFUL SOUND lars have the best sound in drums in the black album and its too slow :/

  • I love drum sound

  • @ga2492 AMEN MAN!

  • Drums were the best on the black album.

Guitars/bass was the best on master of puppets.

Vocals were the best on justice.

  • Sooo heavy, soo easy, soo good!

  • I Love how the drums on this album where recorded, The drumming is really simple, but hell this is probably one of, if not, THE best studio drum sounds ever.

  • thumbs up if you keep the sound of the guitar with your head

  • @XxJoeordazxX its impossible to get the sound of the guitar out off my head

    metallica fucking rulles! \m/

  • @XxJoeordazxX and bass

  • @XxJoeordazxX No I`m hearing the bass :D

  • its funny you can hear james in the back ground :P

  • @ChoupetteLucy yeh, probs because he recorded this shit, and removed the guitars, but you will still get some of the sound :p

  • @ChoupetteLucy Ya :D i can hear James too in the background :D

  • @grandchester You suck

  • @grandchester troll alert

  • does he use the first tom and 3rd tom at the beat at the start?

  • how did you do this

  • sounds so powerfull the intro :D i wanna be lars

  • Hehe you can hear Hetfield sing in the background!!! \m/

  • @ZombieHorror666 lol i turned the volume up and I when i heard it i thought it was my mum calling me xd

  • Wayyy too much snare in the right ears, nop' ?

  • i can hear james voice slightly the whole time... probably being picked up from the headphones lars was wearing when it was recorded. NEATO

  • How does he get that sound out of his bass drum?

  • @utahboy86 with good bass drum head and muffling...

  • @Argaroth89

Tune the beater head on your bass drum loose and the reso head tight. Use wooden or plastic beaters. Rubber works too, just stay away from felt. Make sure you have a sound hole to stick the microphone into.

  • @utahboy86 studio magic!

  • its fun on rockband

  • If i ever get Tinnitus I hope it will sound like this...

  • No shit you can hear James, just like every other drum track.

HOWEVER, notice you can hear him singing the chorus during the guitar solo

    Lol

  • @LightningStickmanBob hhahaha yeah, you can hear it, i though just was me..

  • yeah you hear james singing in the back!!

  • the sound was so pounding!

  • perfect, thanks ! Now I can play bass whit you whitout guitar!!!

  • U can hear james voice :D

  • kinda cool if you open 2 windows on your browser, 1 BASS, 1 DRUM and sync'em. sounds bad ass if you sync it just right.

  • if u listen real close u can hear james singing

  • a thousand times cutted. lars ulrich isn't as cool as you think.

  • @Gusse90

Haha, I noticed this too. Hmmm... Us trained ear folks can hear right thru it!

  • i just love lars he's the best
