We women are just a much to blame, as the brother stated in the lecture, because we marry these men, while they have nothing to offer. We think what, the responsibility is going to miraculously appear after the marriage takes place. The ill we incur come from our own hands!

i see so many women who have kids by these black american brothers and how they suffer and the kids suffer. evevrything for them is the white man's fault.

One more thing, EVERY group of people have their issues. Arab brothers have theirs, Paki, white, every one us have our cultural issues. Again knowledge supersede both speech and actions. African americans are a microcosm to the overall percentage of muslims. in fact, we have a great statistics when it comes to marriage and maintaining. It amazes me when sisters that are apparent ly "Deviant" complain of the plight of the muslim and speak from Hawa (there own desires) If we return to sincere ibada( worship) and obedience to allahu subhannau wa ta'ala then we will see change sisgnificantly!!! This is true. There is hadith that state that there will come a time where the women will have to work to help their husbands. We may be in that time.

you know i listen to these lectures but u primarily have these issues of brothers not giving sisters thier rights these are the black american brothers u find that do these things.

its usually the sisters that get married to to these black american brothers that go thru all of this.

black american brothers have this deep underlying jahil that no matter what it will never go away. they can never let go of thier roots and what they are used to...even after they take shahadah.

Sister you are saying that black american brothers, no matter what, can not change? Then why would Allah ask for mankind to change if they could not? SubanAllah. There are many afric.amer. brothers who take care of their families. The truth is, most AMERICANS, Muslim black and othewise, have grown up thinking women must pay half. Yes SOME men find it hard to change but do not say they as a group can never. It's not that they can't change, they can't find work. That's the issue for most.

i see so many sisters divorce and marry like 5 x with multiple kids reason being they dont learn thier lesson they keep marrying these black american "brothers" x them out and the divorce rate will b lower in the muslim community!

Is it possible sr that part of the problem is with the sisters? As a whole, Afric.Amer. have issues that I assume you understand and that go way back. I personally know sisters divorced many times because of the issues THEY have in combination with the brother's issues. Islam is the only way Afric.Amer. can heal and be whole. I'm going to give my brothers the benefit of the doubt and not place all the blame on them. The shaytan's biggest goal is to destroy the family.

I'm going to give my Muslim brothers the benefit of the doubt. I won't place the prob. of divorce on thier backs alone. Sis. have as many issues and we need to face that. The solution is for us to BOTH learn and IMPLEMENT the deen. Many of us are first genaration Muslims. Many of us don't even know ourselves. From childhood into adulthood we need to learn the deen. We don't have genarations of Muslim family, some of us don't know family at all. The qadr is with Allah. I have hope in Allah.

i would be divorced and married like

6 times already as they have no sense of what a family, patience aND endurance mean they cant grasp.

they abadon thier children and dont provide for thier kids unless it is COURT ORDERED. and when i see this it reminds me of why i avoid them. he could be the best of the best but

I guess we are speaking from experience because I can't say the same about all Afric. Amer. bros but I can say to some just like I can say the same about Somali(they have this prob. big time) white brothers, and Arabs. Walahi I have know brothers in all races who have not taken care of their families for whatever reason. I'm married to an Afric.Amer brother who takes good care of our family mashaAllah and before we married he was raising a step child from his ex wife- after they divorced.

Which by the way, she left him, he didn't abandon them. And she felt good enough about him to allow him to raise her child. So maybe you haven't met enough good afri.amer. bros from where your from. I do agree on your point about the genarational diff. and I can say that the brothers I know whose fathers-black- took care of their families are doing the same with theirs. Which is my point, being BLACK isn't the issues sister. There are more factors than that which is why I address it.
