Hi Graeme, awesome idea! 2 quick questions. Is the menu ( about me, portfolio, etc) just using the title annotation and the spotlight? and in the intro video at 30 seconds -32seconds after you say "I can be whatever you want me to be" you change into different clothes...How did you do that? is it just 2 other video clips added to it?
@dwe0008 Hi. That's correct. The visuals are edited into the actual video and then the hyperlinks are embedded using Annotations. As to when I change into different outfits, we simply recorded the same sentence with me in each outfit and then edited the clip together. Hope that helps!
@buyalpharetta Hey, the URLs are embedded using YouTube Annotations. It's a really fun tool. Also, I didn't send the video to any recruiters because I was apprealing to industry leaders direct - PRing myself essentially. Hope that helps.
@EnriqueSanguino Hi Enrique, the links are inserted using YouTube Annotations. I can't forward you the link but if you Google it, it should come up. It's a really cool technique, give it a try. Hope that helps.
Hi there. Also saw it on the BBC News 24 today. It is a very inspiring idea and hope others get busy with the idea too. Obviously you are fully occupied with your job, but please post more ideas for being creative. Thanks again for sharing this with the world!
My name is Roy Montero and I just found your videos via Jeremy Scott's article entitled ... Video Resumes Are Most Definitely The Wave Of The Future
I find your creativity absolutely inspiring and motivational because I can envision anyone who watches you say to themselves, "I can do that."
Besides your amazing creative skills, I'm also amazed by your tech skills to include links like you have in the videos, so I'd love to know just how you accomplished that?
Well done sir! As someone who constantly writes about job search strategy, I salute your innovative approach. I am in the middle of producing a weekly video series for jobseekers and will definitely cite your work. Again, a job well done.
Greame you ar amazing... Im also fighting aganist tratidional CVS... I prefer talking about experience and interactivity... Check it out here... Strategic planner and Social media Consultant
@vassilisbartzokas Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, I originally had no intention of making the CVIV public and basically sent the link to people who I wanted to see my production. The links were then made public and I considered listing it but decided against it. The CVIV is still a very private broadcast and only want people in my direct line of work to see it. My thought process is that if you have the link, then you're somehow connected to my field of work. It's a personal choice I suppose
OOOPS! spoiler right here for originality...Relatively unknown ad Agency Boone Oakley had this clever idea and brilliant execution of their portfolio on youtube from last year which garnered them a Gold Lion at Cannes this year...look them up on youtube!
Loved the concept!
