I agree that 1.5R has awesome sound, actually most people agree that it is the best sounding under 2liter engine in the world - even with stock muffler and cat. 4-2-1 equal lenght downpipes in stock, redline @7000, simply eargasm :D

On the other hand, only great thing about it is that sound - fuel consumption is in real trafic same as 2.0, it is missing high end torque past 5k rpm, but if you are driving it alone in empty car on some backroads in woods, then it is real beast trough corners :)

Isn't 1.5 a little under powered considering it has to transfer the power through to the rear wheels? and the fact that it's around 1.3 tonnes.

Easy, this sound its only made with unequal headers... you just put that and a custom exhaust and you got your self a nice rumble

All Subarus are AWD, except the new Justy.

The 1.5R is a wonderful car (I have it).

All Subaru Imprezas anit AWD, the LX 1.6 is 2WD also is the 1.6 GL.. Check out my bros STI, look up 325bhp sti, oh and sounds nice btw =D

Yep.. they are AWD but I think they are going to throw on the market a new impreza FWD because the differential and everything makes the car a little slower and havier, but... it makes it safer on the rain and things like that.

and they have differnt times of awd a 4wd systems! there is full time all wheel drive which saloon imprezas have! and then the is full time 4 wheel drive which is wat wagon imprezas have wiht high and low range boxes, bet you didnt know that did you!???

Can't be. That engine has speed limiter and will cap before 180 maximum for sure. Maybe even 160... Anyway nice headers. They are making a nice note.

The thing is that a Down hill highway help me, the top speed of this car I have reach in a highway I think 175, straight, but the downhill help me get to 200 lol
