Fact 1 the exact cause or nature of NDEs is unknown
Fact 2 the implication that because of FACT1 NDEs must be proof of an afterlife or any other supernatural phenomenon is logically fallacious (false dilemma fallacy) and must be dismissed.
Fact 3 every positive claim about the cause or the nature of NDEs must backed up with empirical evidence to be valid.
Fact 4 supernatural phenomena cannot be proven through science, because science is limited to the natural world by definition.
@heightboosting *Obviously NDE are real and not an illusion !!!! Jesus, God is real !!*
Is that so? Then why is that when someone of a different faith has NDE, guess what they have 'seen'? Nope, it ain't Jesus....it's Krishna, ...Allah, .. Thetans...lol,....etc. etc...
yeah...um...that's a nonsensical statement. research is often required as a precursor to developing methods of measurement. without some research, how do we know how and for what to measure? that aside, alex is delusional and hell-bent on mystical explanations for things we don't yet know. god of the gaps, all over again. could be a great show, but because of his intellectual laziness and silly attempts at burden shifting, it remains just a small thorn in the side of reason.
@Metatronicus What needs to first be established is a theory (or theories) which can provide a guiding principle. Then they go through a process of data collection (All types of data) From the data collected they then look for what is showing patterns and correlations. From those correlations they then decide what should be looked at specifically in relation to what they are theorizing. That is when you have found what needs to be measured and devise a way in which to do it effectively.
